Hi everyone, I’m an ACCA finalist with 2 papers remaining and I’d applied to all big firms and medium firms as well back in September, however the only reply I’ve gotten was from EY and it’s a straight rejection. Is it hard for me to find a job in audit?

If I were to apply for Jan intake, when should I submit my resume and other information? And should I resubmit my information all? And can anyone state the intakes for the big 4s? Thank you in advanced.

In my EY job offer letter, it says i need to maintain at least second upper class CGPA, so I guess 3.00 and above?
I hope so, my last semester was tough the lecturers so kedekut only give average assignments carry marks to all students

So lucky got PWC. Delloite so hard to enter not even a reply for my application. I applied all Big 4, only EY and KPMG bother to reply my job application.

Hi guys, I need help.

I'm currently an A2 in audit at EY. As you all are aware, EY has set some requirements before we can get promoted to seniors (i.e. we need to pass certain number of papers).

I only started taking my papers when I was an A2 because it took the HR nearly 6 months before they could approve when I wanted to change from ICAEW to MICPA (despite being constantly chased by me). The current situation now is that I need to sit for this one paper in December before I can get promoted to senior but EY is not allowing me to take the paper due to the rule that we're only allowed to sit for 2 sittings per year. I took one exam in April 2019 and taking another one in September 2019.

As such, if I don't sit for this exam in December, I can only sit for the next sitting which is in April 2020, and my results would come out in May 2020 and thus, I would only get promoted in June 2020 instead of getting promoted in Jan 2020 if I sit for the exam in Dec 2019. This has stressed me out so much. I am really thinking of leaving EY at the moment. Do other big 4 have these policies? And should I want to join other big 4, should I apply as an A2 or I should apply for senior role?

I have not started any papers yet when I decided to change. I changed cause I have 11 papers left for ICAEW in comparison to 8 for MICPA.

Hi all, I got an interview with pwc for senior associate role, advisory. Any tips from those who went for pwc interview?

They contacted me on Linkedin and scheduled the interview quickly. I read here that you have to go through some accessment but I wasn't given any yet. What should I expect at this point? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Ive just received email from EY and they rejected my application. Heard that Big4 is really strict on cgpa requirement and I can say my cgpa is pretty good but I guess age really matters to them.
