Dude, how long ago did you apply for the PwC Jr Xplorer?
I applied since October and all I ever got was an email saying that they will contact me sometime in November. Its almost December and I havent heard anything from them.

Also, mind sharing what they asked during the Interview? Was it phone-screening or via Webcam?
*
I applied in the beginning of October.
Received online assessment 1 (personality test) in mid October.
Received phone interview + online assessment 2 (english test) in beginning of November.
Received virtual interview in mid November.

1 week after the virtual interview, they told me they will update me again by the end of week.

However, I don't get any update from them ever since that.

Basically it is something like this. I'm still patiently waiting and praying for good news.

Hi, can I know how long is your interview and when did you apply for it? Thanks.
*
Around 1hr. The interview was quite conversational. I wouldn't say I did it well, but I think I tried my best. Still hoping for good news.

I applied it in the beginning of October.

I applied in around October and got the invitation on November. There will be an quick phone screening to understand about your background. For the actual interview, mostly behavioural and it lasted about 30 minutes for me. (damn it that was quick). Good luck!

I think u did very well brother, your interview lasted for an hour and it pretty indicative that the interviewew is very interested in you, mine lasted for half an hour. Are you an acca or a degree grad, any prior experience in audit? Will update once I got an update from them. Good luck!

Thanks for the update.
Clearly you got further than me, and I hope you get the job.
Thats weird for me tho. I only got an invitation to do the Pymetrics assessment in October.
After that, I havent received any word at all from them aside from that one email in November.
Dont tell me I didnt make the cut just because of the Pymetrics games...
Because if so, then that would be both funny and equally depressing...

You are not alone... console.gif
I recently graduated from ACCA too (oct 2020 - straight passer). And I got a first-class honours Accounting Degree. Still couldn't find a job...I guess is because my interview performance really not  good...
Good academic results is not that important if a person do not have good interview skills (I am the one)
Hope I could improve faster for the next interview  flex.gif  flex.gif

Did you have relevant internship experience? Or strong extracurricular activity. They want your skills whole rounded

I am ACCA fresh grad and I don't have any experience in audit. I got my flaws too as I failed few P papers before.

Don't lose hope yet brother. Let's hope for good news.

Brother don't lose hope yet. Similar cases happened to me too.
I get rejected by KPMG after 1 month since I completed their Pymetrics + english test. (LOL)
I get rejected by EY after phone interview, and get ignored by other medium firms like BDO, Baker Tilly, GT, Mazars despite I sent job applications to them multiple times.

Still, my preference is PwC, but the rejection from other firms is similarly painful to receive.

Believe in yourself and try again. Don't lose hope yet.
My studies seniors told me that soon will be audit peak period, maybe you can try again for job application.

I had similar timeline as you but I applied for the associate role under risk assurance.
My virtual interview was in mid-November as well with a senior manager and a director.
At the end of the interview, the senior manager said she can't reveal the result to me now but it will be soon, said it won't take long and HR will inform me about the result.
But it has been 2 weeks since the interview, no news at all from them yet sad.gif

I have experienced working in audit firm as part-time audit assistant but don't have internship, and also an average curricular performance. I guess these maybe also be the reason why I am a bit hard to get a job in any company(small/medium/big). However, I would say interview skills is the biggest reason that I failed. slowly improving now.. by attending more interviews. Hope I could get a job before 2021!Keep positive!!! smile.gif smile.gif

I have a question guys....

I got ACCA(completed) and degree, am I qualify for the PwC Jr Xplorer program? Cause I saw the requirement only stated it is for people who is "Graduates from degree" or "pursuing ACCA".

I am not sure whether I can apply for this program?

I reached out and received a quick update from HR.
Turns out I didnt make the cut. *sigh*
Like damn, I didnt even get to take a proper assessment or any phone-screening interviews yet.
They must really want ACCA students or something, because a Degree sure isn't getting me through the door.

I'm still in the timeout from KPMG, and haven't heard anything from EY.
I've had some internship experience in Deloitte (which I really liked), but sadly they dont have many jobs open for Graduates.
Ideally, I'd really like to join PwC or Deloitte...but its easier said than done.

Even so, I appreciate your positivity. I just hope something opens up for me soon. Hopefully I can get lucky with the PROTEGE programs.

If you got an ACCA, then you can surely get in. It seems like most of my friends with ACCA gets to join the Jr Xplorers Programme.
The question here is whether or not you can still join for the Jan 2021 intake, because it seems like they have already reached the final stages of the candidate selections. You can still try and submit your application.

Frankly, it's quite a bad time for you guys to apply any Big4 right now with the current pandemic still ongoing. The financial performance plummeted really hard this year...like in my assurance department line only 3 people got promoted to senior. I feel bad for those associates Year 2 bcoz they've been working so freaking hard console.gif

But on the bright side, more opening for assurance job since many staff are going to tender resignation icon_rolleyes.gif including me dry.gif

I interviewed with E* last week for audit 6 month contract position. I wonder if they r not offering me full time position because I have no experience, although I applied for tax but they freeze the hiring. I wanna ask your advice, if I am rather an introvert, is audit a suitable career?

Are you an introvert or are you shy? There's a difference between the two.

I am a full-blown introvert, but I am not shy when it comes to dealing with clients (eg, asking for supporting documents, raising audit queries, etc). If you're a shy person, I personally think Audit is great in building up your confidence in speaking with professionals, regardless of title, since you will also have to speak with the Finance Managers, CFOs and Directors of the companies that you're auditing.
