Guys, what kind of private insurance you guys choose here? I'm not PR yet and need it to cover my kids vaccine. Any recommendation? Thanks.

QUOTE(prophetjul @ Apr 28 2016, 02:06 PM) Best to move as a family. Provided you are still young! I second that! Move with your family. The kids development need both father & mother together!i have already established my career in Malaysia. So can't move now. So the kids will go. I used to work in Vietnam few months back and my household income was about USD7k. I gave up that and migrate to aus together with my kids. I'm still looking for opportunity in aus after spending 1.5 months here. |

QUOTE(Rand @ May 6 2016, 04:02 PM) So what you're saying is that there's an oversupply of rental properties right now? I suppose I should say that I am talking specifically about Melbourne. I ain't sure about the market at melbourne. I spent 2 weeks to find the house which I'm staying now. I can only get the property I want after I offered the landlord/agent that I'm going to pay them 6 months rental in advance. |

QUOTE(ezzone @ Aug 17 2016, 02:53 PM) Hi ppl, Hi ezzone,I am my way to migrating too. Received my Invitation to Apply....189 Subclass I'm not young but not too old.. Decided to start a new life for the sake of my childrens. Will need some advice on which city should I go. I am a Construction Project Manager here in KL focusing on Mech & Elec. A certified Project Manager (PMP). I dont mind starting from below to gain local experience. Which city provides more opportunities? I know it is tough out there but this is what life is all about. Taking chances. I'm in the same shoe as you, migrate here for the sake of our next generation. I used to have the same job as you and I moved to aus since march. Couldn't find any job that suit my profession even I lower my expectation. End up work as a chef in a japanese restaurant otherwise wife & kids have to eat grass, get paid 18 dollar per hour and work like cow. But I'm still not yet ready to give up the migration thing. It just a matter of time I can get the job I want. Good luck and all the best. |

QUOTE(samo1390 @ Sep 27 2016, 09:43 AM) 189 visa and 489 visa, its better to apply 189 directly right? In stead of rush to 489? 先苦后甜? I'm holding 489 now...I don't see the difference of 489 or 189 when u applying for job...the problem is 489 need to stay at specific areas, hence it limits the job opportunities...Do employers accept 489? Its quite risky to take this visa i guess. |

QUOTE(xoxlifestyle100 @ Sep 30 2016, 02:12 AM) Mind sharing your experience which job in the SOL list you applied and with how many points and how long you waited for your invitation? Electrical Engineer, 65 points. I got the invitation almost immediately right after the state government approved your application. |

QUOTE(Red_rustyjelly @ Jun 3 2017, 01:46 PM) Dude, ask yourself why you want to migrate. I migrate because of my children. I am sure my parent know why I made such decision and they won't migrate with me as they won't get use of the living style in aus. But they could visit me as frequent as they could as visitor. |

You could apply for both but end of the day they will only issue one visa to you, either 489 or 189.i am now applying through 489 btw. EDIT: Do you think i can apply 489 and 189 simultaneously? will i get blacklisted? |

QUOTE(Showtime747 @ Nov 8 2017, 12:37 PM) 1. When leaving Australia, used Aussie passport ETA only allows you to stay in Australia for 3 months, because you enter Australia by Aussie passport, you could stay more than 3 months, but you might get caught by Malaysia officer when you return to Malaysia as they need your explanation on why you could stay longer than 3 months in Australia while you only have ETA. 2. When reach malaysia immigration, use Malaysia passport 3. When want to leave Malaysia back to Australia, use your malaysia passport to apply ETA visitor visa. So airline can let you board the plane to Australia 4. When entering Australia, use your Aussie passport ETA cost only A$20 per year Nothing beats holding both citizenship and passport I believe Australia officer won't care much as they allow dual-citizenship. |
