hi all, i've been in contact with this recruiter in aus and i feel my profile matched the requirements. the requirements is quite niche but the HR said they are not sponsoring visa.

i did some online assessment test and result is 189 independent score is 85, 190 state score is 90.

so how do i proceed? can i tell the HR to proceed with my application and i will settle the visa sponsorship myself once they gimme job offer?

Start by visiting the immi website to see whether you qualify for their point system (min requirement 60 points). If you do, then you can DIY your own application or get an approved agent to do it for you.

Feel free to ask any questions here.

Congrats!

Yes, you are right. You can start your own application via http://www.border.gov.au/Busi/Empl/skillselect

Though, before starting that, please prepare all the required evidence for the points that you are claiming, it will definitely help in expediting the process.

Not sure where your first step starts from.

Assuming you are talking about visa 189 or 190, generally the very step is to do a self evaluation on how many points u can claim.

You may express interest if you have at least 60 points.

You must have obtained skill assessment for your nominated occupation and IELTS results before you express interest.

thanks !!! almost EOI.
so means i must have IELTS examination taken first and passed before i can EOI right?

Pretty much. Especially if you're claiming points for it. Check your SOL too- some require an IELTS score of 7, some 8.
