Hi all, I’m Wei from K.L, I’ll be starting the 3rd year of my PR (subclass 189) by end of 2016. There is a dilemma I’m in and hope to seek comments/recommendation from forum members here.
For the pass two years I’ve accumulated only 2 months of stay in Aussie and I don’t foresee that I’ll be able to fulfill the 24 months out of 5 years in Aussie in the near future.
The original idea was to be there before the end of PR (in 2019) and permanently settle down with family. However life is never easy and shit happens, will need to delay family’s relocation to a later date due to work and commitment to parents.
Is there anyway or method of getting a second 5 years extension on the PR without successfully complying to the 24 months stay requirement. Has anyone been in this situation and successfully obtained it.
Would appreciate advice given.

I don't think we are allowed to lodge an application again (regardless of other subclasses) once it lapse without fulfilling the requirements.

QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Sep 5 2016, 06:14 PM) i'd best leave it for someone who has experience or a migration agent to reply, don't want to be giving inaccurate info anyway, here's something i found, not sure if its still valid since they change the conditions every now and then http://myaccessaustralia.com/australian-pe...turn-visas-rrv/Thanks Kenji, the link helped out lots. In my situation, will be able to get yearly renewal and that's good enough. Phew.

QUOTE(DarReNz @ Sep 6 2016, 11:46 AM) since you are not able to meet the RRV requirement so you will keep getting RRV's for a year until you achieve your 2 years requirement and then the RRV will be back to 5 years again Thanks for the heads up. Appreciate it
