mind sharing which insurance company?

i tried Bupa's cost estimator, it came out around AUD300-400 for a family package, quite complete one i think

check on what are the coverage. if you're not hitting on certain age, u dun have to cover it. it's a waste of money.
last time i paid almost 300 to cover EVERYTHING. after one year realise alot of stuff is useless to me so i strike it off. only paid 187/mth now

I used medibank

Thanks. Yes, had to translate those docs as well. You worked in 2 companies and managed to keep all slips. Wow, you are so meticulous.

Well, I used all the docs gotten and certified by my employer to prove my case. Don't know if they are satisfied or not. Or perhaps they might think some of my data is fake as I do not have full slips and some bank statements ?  ohmy.gif

never know when you'll need them, so just keep only laugh.gif

not necessary, cos from what i found out, general CO's, 75% of the docs usually will be sufficient... maybe you just got a very fussy CO that's all tongue.gif

Thanks. Maybe I will have to beg the HR staff to print all slips for another 6 months for every year just to have 100% complete docs for her. blush.gif

Should you be given the choice to settle down permanently in Australia or Singapore, which would you choose and why?
Considering the ease of doing business, raising families, cultural similarities, cost and quality of living inclusive of education and healthcare, etc...
Everyone have their own reasoning, but I'm really interested to hear you take  especially for those who are holding multiple PRs or even citizenships *cough* smile.gif

i got 3 malaysia insurance but surrendered all.
bear in mind in some cases might not be necessary to surrender.

If u serve the insurance for more than 10 years, suggest to continue on. there's investment link involve and there's some big chunk there and still on going will increase the $$. So just be wise.
If lesser than 5 years can let it go.

take note the malaysian insurance doesn't cover overseas. if u're travelling more than 1 month, there's no coverage on that.
so why should i keep it?

that's what i am thinking also... cos i think there's a clause stating that if you are out of the country for more than 90 days or something like that its not covered... will have to speak to my agent then, thanks bro smile.gif

well, can talk to them. they'll try watever they can ask u to retain.
however, u need to look into this whichever more than 10 years, keep it until one day ur kids need money to study or watever, can at least take out the money. not until emergency use. u never know.
anything lesser, just take out and spend.
noted that 1st 3 years insurance doesn't save u much, agent took it as commission. that's why u will see every 3 years the same agent will approach u asking u to increase the premium with watever $hit reason.
how i know? coz i've been approached by 20 over insurance agent in 5 years and did some research too!!! most of them are my friends and relatives! with friends 10 years never call u b4 suddenly asking u for yamcha in mamak sure got something one. only me stupid thought they're genuinely friend friend to chit chat $hit...

you shouldn't complaint about taxes if you are expecting a better quality of life here in Australia.

if one expect a good life in their pension years, then tax got to be right for it then, if not; where else the funds going to come from? your children's? laugh.gif

Bolehlanders pay high taxes too, including toll n various government service charges. Overall, the rate is about the same for both or even higher than Australia. smile.gif

Quality of life in SG not bad lah. Not as leisurely as Perth but not nearly as bad as what people make it out to be.
