Relax bro. Have a beer first. The whole market is red.

What to do? Just hold beyond T+3 if possible.

MPI, KESM and Johotin fell these 2 days. Good opportunity for those who want to buy at a discount.

FLBHD is inching upwards. Up 3.245%. Not too late for investors to jump in.

My new trading shares all koyak except for FPI (up +2.198%). All in the red - Inari, Dialog and Matrix. Most likely I have to hold beyond T+3.

Kesian. I own FL, Superln, Johotin too, but most of my shares (except Johotin) were bought a few months ago and are still sitting on substantial profit.

Wrong. Croesus (a SG counter) issue rights every few years and those who subscribe for excess rights are reaping the profit today.
Right now got people want to privatize it because it's too profitable. If issuing rights and not profitable, why would anyone want to take over it?

Want me to give another example? Can. Mapletree commercial trust (a s-reit). Issued rights to acquire mapletree business city I. Dividend increase after the rights issue.

Hey that's not fair. Give example of a Malaysian company. Alright. Here you go. Public bank rights issue

I am totally NOT arguing against long term benefits. But in the short term rights issues harm investors. Long term rights issues are always for the better.

Also I am talking about a Malaysian context, I don't know about Singapore and their market reaction could be different.

Look at Prolexus. Such an amazing company but share price declined so much. L&G also. And now MRCB. From the Malaysian recent rights issues I have followed, there is almost always at least a 10-20% short/mid term drop.

Same reaction over that side. A right issue will cause the price to drop. Depend on how you look at it. A good company with good business asking for rights should be seen as discount to get shares of the company at cheap prices. Ask yourself, why did you buy the company? Is it for trading or to accumulate more and hold for long term?

If sole purpose is for trading, then I think you need to take the loss and move to another counter.

Eg. Nestle asking for rights issue and price drop 10%, will you oversubscribe for it? I will without any hesitation.

I'm not in it for trading but I will likely jump out immediately should any of my holdings get a rights issue (I will of course study the scenario/purpose first) and then buy back in at a later date. Rights issues provide a great buying opportunity, something I am looking to do with Prolexus soon.

By the time you get news of right issue, I think it's too late as the price would have tank already.

Seems like a decent buy. Very high ROE, 8X P/BV. Looks fine on the surface. Might even be undervalued if 40%++ ROE is sustained.

Oh no, I think you misunderstood me. My long term investment portfolio such as Superlon and Johotin are doing fine, double digit returns.😃

I was referring to my short term trading stocks such as Inari, Dualog and Matrix which are in the red. sad.gif

From what I know, the total equity is 93.46 and shares outstanding is 355.45, hence the NTA approximately 0.28. If the company go bankrupt, I will get 0.28 per share. I paid 2.30 per share. 87.82% loss if it go bankrupt.

From my little knowledge, NTA should be at least 2/3 of 2.30 which is 1.53, am I correct ?

1. Are what I mentioned correct? Please correct me.
2. Can sifu tell me is NTA very important criteria is selecting stock? From what I read, none recommend to use NTA as one of the criteria.
