QUOTE(twhong_91 @ Aug 18 2016, 10:08 AM) what happened to ulicorp? lol.. scgm, ulicop and slp all same fate. i caught the falling knife yesterday. :'( SCGM is having private placement, which would dilute the EPS by 10%. That could be the trigger. Don't think it is down to poor results. Otherwise the sell down would have started immediately after the results were announced, or latest by the next trading day. Not sure about ULICORP and SLP...

QUOTE(Boon3 @ Aug 18 2016, 03:52 PM) You do realize when it comes to numbers stuff, I don't simply say one. Instead, of simply saying 'Don't think it is down to poor results', why didn't you take the effort to click around the internet and check if what I said was true? I certainly don't want any innocent readers to take my words as gospel and trade on it but only to find out it's inaccurate !!! OR http://www.bursamalaysia.com/market/listed...cements/5131141earnings of 3.462 million vs 5.137 million. That equals a DECLINE of how many percent? Master boon, don't be so angry I absolutely agree that the results were awful. The question is why there was no sell down a few months back? Why they wait until now? The only reason I can think of is: the traders out there didn't see what your eyes of wisdom see

QUOTE(gark @ Feb 7 2017, 01:19 PM) Tenaga already inked cost pass through mechanism with the government, so even if tariff hike up or down it will not matter to tenaga. If cost up, gov pay tenaga, if cost down tenaga pays the govt. So the margins will be super stable. In terms of profit growth .. it will be muted, but it has hinted it will pay more dividends with its huge cash pile. And it will invest more overseas by raising its gearing level which can be a double edge sword ( in terms foreign risk and more debt). IMHO i think the jewel in tenaga's asset which no one notices, is the nationwide transmission network... if they just list it as a trust or reit .. shareholders will reap huge rewards. How can Tenaga monetize it's transmission network, other than for own use? Regarding cost, natural gas is now as cheap as coal in the US.

QUOTE(Avangelice @ Feb 10 2017, 10:59 AM) managed to scrounge up another 3k from my treatments. I'm now confused. should I top up on tenaga or do I buy another stock? trying my best not to apply unit trust investment method into stock. I'm looking into buying into Taan Ideally, you should... 1. Diversify 2. But not over-diversify 3. Invest in a sector you understand

QUOTE(Vanguard 2015 @ Feb 14 2017, 05:50 PM) I am hoping for the best by diversifying my portfolio. Hopefully the pre-election rally will continue. Eh, what am I saying? This is supposed to be long term investment. Do you buy stocks like you do unit trust? In unit trust we do asset allocation. But when it comes to stocks, aside from diversification, we also try to buy at 'right price'.

QUOTE(gark @ Feb 23 2017, 06:28 PM) INARI Quarterly revenue and gross profit actually drop. But its 'other operating income' - mainly comes from forex gain - increases by more than 10 times, and is equivalent to 59% of the amount of gross profit. On top of that, admin expenses also increases by 20%. Not exactly great

QUOTE(lowya @ Feb 24 2017, 10:24 AM) please share what do you mean by % growth? are we talking about ROE in %? what is the reason behind this formula? Not my formula. Peter Lynch's one. To him, growth refers to EPS. But I think we can apply this concept to other numbers, say EBITDA per share...
