No pain.. no gain... tongue.gif

How else do you think we select stocks..

You can shortlist stocks with low and negative gearing.. and work from there.
*
That's what I want to know. What's the criteria to shortlist stocks with low and negative gearing?
Use Liabilities to equity ratio as mentioned previously?

Also, what ratio number is considered good for low debts/zero debts? (Eg. 1, 2, 3,..)

Nevermind. I got it. Debt ratio < 2

Came out some results. 3 out of all the results match reviews by bloggers which I was keeping an eye on.

Queue to buy/sell at the right price you want, dont chase the up and downs due to low volume.
*
But low volume make it hard to buy and sell. Correct?

For me i see maxis financial performance is on a slow slide...

Not too good in my books.  tongue.gif

For long term counters, must have some reasonable growth at least beat inflation la..  tongue.gif

Many other candidates out there..
*
For malaysian counters, Nestle, public bank/maybank.
For general, highways, mrt/lrt, soap/detergent, banks which are safe, finger foods, cigarettes, payment processing syatem,

I give you cheat sheet.. google malaysiastockbiz, search counter you want, look at 5 year performance in a glance.

Guarantee easier than unit trust..  tongue.gif

or you super old skool.. go popular/mph.. go buy this book Malaysia stock guide, cheap only.. new version updated every six month.

Very good to see 10 years performance for ALL the stocks in the market, earnings for 10 Y etc.. for LONG TERM counters..

I still buy and read occasionally.. flip flip see wat counter catch my eye. Got a few good stocks off it.. like nestle..got blown away by the 10Y performance, when i first read the book in 2005  tongue.gif

IMHO I see stock picking is easier than UT picking..  laugh.gif  laugh.gif  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

only read the analyst /blog report AFTER you have chosen your stock, for further feedback/research. Not the other way round.  rolleyes.gif

Don't have such upside potential wor. Vanguard's balls only shows an upside potential of 23.80% for Ekovest. But I am not really interested in Ekovest for now.

I am looking for stocks with good DY. Otherwise my heart cannot take it.

What criteria do you use for good DY?

ramjade these are the counters that moves >50% in price vs their dividend yield since last quarter report announce, most of them don't even pay dividend.

hence the real magic is not in dividend, it's earning and expectations.
*
But sustainable or not? Would one rather look at it everyday thinking to sell or go on holiday/sleep and money come rolling in hmm.gif

depends what you want, slowly collect dividend treat it like an FD, or go for capital gain which is much more significant and worth the time to analyse.

That's why. I prefer the other one. Less headache.

For dividend investing
http://dividendmachines.com

Few others stuff
http://deepvaluedetector.com
http://investmentquadrant.com

Each course cost about SGD300 with lifetime updates. If I were to pick one, most likely Dividend machines.

SGD 300 is pricey!

Did you sign up for it ? was it worth ?
*On the other hand, the dow opened up around 200points higher and if it closes high, i guess bursa should be green all the way tomorrow ?
*
Apa pricey? For singaporeans it's just like RM300 for them. For us ya la it's pricey. RM300 vs RM600+ (the one posted by nemozai) for them it's not pricey.
No. Because it's more than a day course. Not going to stay in SG. dry.gif
