Guys, i just came back from Nagoya Japan. Oh my God the Jap Chic Unbelievable But finally i got my Lost Odyssey Playable Demon Disc in Famitsu XBOX 360 magazine January issue. For those who do not know what is Lost Odyssey all about came sit down and let me tell you the wonderful story....

Lost Odyssey is the second of two epic RPG projects for Microsoft by Mistwalker, the studio founded by Square-Enix's Hironobu Sakaguchi. You play as Kaim, a man who's been sentenced to live for 1,000 years. The game's storyline takes you through Kaim's life as he lives through multiple generations, becomes a part of many families, falls in and out of love and gets into conflicts. All this is set in a world that is on the verge of a "mystical industrial revolution," where mankind has attained dark powers.

About the demo game

Graphics: OH MY GOD. the intro is were astonished by the graphics, immersiveness and excellent cut-scene choreography. The CG is so nice. The main character KAIM it is so detail. The game surrounding looked so awesome like a lord of the rings killer up

Sound: Very nice and very clear

Gameplay: hmm.. Too many let me list down some...

0. Amazing storyline and characters that you actually begin to care about and make you actually interested in what takes place next.
1. Is a turn based game. (real time rpg larh)
2. The game surrounding almost like Ninety Nine Sleepless Nights, but Lost Odyssey has game command just like Final Fantasy. Guys, those who like the Final Fantacy i think you might like the game.
3. Basically is kill kill kill and kill.
4. Strategy.. Ups sorry donno yet.. play half way..cannot tahan to tell you guys about the game, so i miss it...

PRO: Nicely done up graphic, superp storyline, is a rpg game.
CON: Boring sitting there picking from what looked like 4 different moves and just killing the enemy. Its like the pokemon games on the gameboy. I'm just really disappointed. But It is still not completed yet. DON'T WORRY

now that we see how MistWalker publish their Asian release of BD, i wonder how they'll handle LO.
NTSC/J NTSC/UC and PAL covers around 8 different languages. Is LO worldwide simultaneous release still possible or just a pipe-dream for the development team??

1. fixed camera angle
2. during battles, the formation/position of the party is important
3. only 1 hrs worth of CGI, so maybe dont need more than 3 dvds
4. alot of the key persons on the dev team also made different, different jrpgs from different companies b4
5. the full credits for the game will encompass >100 ppl
6. w/o MS japan, sakaguchi would most probably still sitting in his one-man office, looking for deep pocket investors

the Asian version should be English-voiced. Maybe Chi subtitles will be supported.

battle tempo is extremely agreeable
- boss fights are tough but if you polish your tactics, they are fun
- Kaim's existence in the story is, according to Shigematsu's writing, very deep and well crafted. A virtuous story, as Sakaguchi also said
- event scenes progress with beautiful graphics, impressive
- battles have a noticeable effect on your characters, which develop in an enjoyable way
- it's a good RPG for adults to play and take lots of time playing through
- scenario is very "bitter"
- 4 DVDs with amazing video and beautiful music
- it's a shame about frequent loading and the poor lip-syncing

The first 10 minutes: Lost Odyssey

dang! another Asian version that is JPN language. have to wait next year for Asian version 2 that supports English, same case like BD or ES last time.

Just caught the latest trailer of Lost Odyssey and everything seems so usual with the ways of developers of the Final Fantasy series.
However it does look a bit cheesy with the main character wearing spectacles

Finally got my hands on this thrilling epic. For some reason, the game reminds me of FF8, especially at the Monorail scene, where it makes me feel like I'm back in Balamb Garden again.

Despite the efforts and patience you need put in frustrating boss fights, this is a game for all. Mistwalker did it this time.

Oh I even made my own userbar, lol. Sorry if it's too lame

yup, impressions indicate those boss fights can be tough - must use the correct equipment to stand a chance. English version has ETA Jan 31 - time to save up.

this game is more similar to legend of dragoon and shadow hearts series. except for some long "loading" screens, so far impressions of the game is good.

my game supplier confirm getting the game on the 24th this month. I've already reserved one for my self. luckly they fix the loading problems. this will be a talk about topic at least for few months once everyone get their hands on it...

hopefully can finish the game before devil may cry so that i can concentrate on the game instead.

in japanese ver. this dlc should be free for download.(silver member can get it on 17/jan)
