i have gone through old threads. most ppl recommend bio-oil but it didn't work for me.
wondering if anyone has a more updated method/medication to help make the marks lighter if not disappear.

Since it is old scars, it probably can be lighten, but not disappear. You can try pure shea butter, it is good at repair and restore skin

I used to use (facial) lightening creams. Works on any part of my body though. I managed to get it to lighten the scar colour to skin tone, looks as if the scar disappeared! Any brand should do the job as long as it says lightening cream.

Might wanna check with pharmacist for stronger creams to apply. There are some over the counter creams to apply for scars and pigmentation. Have to check with pharmacists.

I have a few friends that tried gamat gel extract, every day for 4 months, seems to work on most scars, but large old scars dont really disappear, they just become less noticeable. I think its because the scar tissues already hardened and it will require surgery to completely remove. |

QUOTE(carmenyta @ Nov 12 2015, 03:36 PM) i have old scars on my legs due to scratching from mosquito bites. Good morning babe, i have gone through old threads. most ppl recommend bio-oil but it didn't work for me. wondering if anyone has a more updated method/medication to help make the marks lighter if not disappear. If you have old scars, dry flaky skin, eczema or etc, try using natural soaps with shea butter inside it. I have been using it for quite some time now, and it oworks beautiful. Especially dry skin at my elbow is now smooth and moisturize. I'm actually supplying those natural handmade soaps. If you are interested to know more, feel free to PM me. =) Trust me, you will love it after you use it and will never buy any other soaps again. =) |
