AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor

AMD Dual-Core Optimizer - The AMD Dual-Core Optimizer can help improve some PC gaming video performance by compensating for those applications that bypass the Windows API for timing by directly using the RDTSC (Read Time Stamp Counter) instruction. Applications that rely on RDTSC do not benefit from the logic in the operating system to properly account for the affect of power management mechanisms on the rate at which a processor core's Time Stamp Counter (TSC) is incremented. The AMD Dual-Core Optimizer helps to correct the resulting video performance effects or other incorrect timing effects that these applications may experience on dual-core processor systems, by periodically adjusting the core time-stamp-counters, so that they are synchronized.

actualy...what is the real function of this amd dual core optimizer?
i've already install this software and it's the latest version.can anyone help me xplain about this software.4 information,im using amd athlon X2 3600.

Ya, I wanna know the function of it too. I can't see any difference after installing it

try to uninstal it, n play any games..( play the games yang agak berat )
u will see it..

from my experience.. after installing n before installing..
i alwayz play titan quest n rainbow six vegas..

when not instal~
the game lagging n will hang~ need to restart
drop in performance

when instal~
the game run pretty smooth, not hang anymore..
but there is oso guide to max the performance

try for yourself, recomend to installboth the Msoft HOTFIX and the AMD DUAL CORE OPTIMIZER, btoh work together to maximise ur comp performance
