15 is old for a karting-to-f1 driver alredy..... but still worth a try if had a good finance (i mean real rich).
many driver like shumi brothers, raikonen etc....... was start at a very young age, around 5 or 6 years old.

aiyah don discourage him la.If it's his dream,then he'll try to achieve it.Whether he will or not,that one we have to see.Lots of youngsters today want to be F1 drivers too,so all the best.And age doesn't matter to me,if u're good enough,you can be an F1 driver.It's as simple as that

i just try to tell him some bcoz he doesnt even know 15 years old in karting was consider old.
btw, good is not enough, in car racing everything comes in, Alex yoong father spent RM20 million in alex carreer, as a i read from a local newspaper. Not just sit there like play GT4 in PS2

would u mind go to opposite the 1-U.....i think there is a go kart race track......if i not mistaken.......but i'm not sure there is a lesson for u.....but i know sure there hav a rental service for u to ride......haha

Anyone into karting? I've tried it a few times, at USJ Fast Track Speedzone and the Sepang Go Kart circuit. Lots of fun and not too expensive.

i've tried the one in langkawi, it was fun too. the lowest price is around rm 35(student price). my hometown sitiawan perak also has a small gokart track with 8 go karts running on. but the karts a quite slow, only have 3 fast karts ^^

what are the rates at USJ Fast Track Speedzone?

currently plying at shah alam stadium (city karting, i think). it's RM35 for 10 minutes on a 80cc kart. lots of karts to choose from, but the speed and quality of them depends on luck.

It's RM30 for 10 minutes or RM55 for 20 minutes at USJ Speed Zone. The karts look ok, but I'd bring gloves... and maybe my own helmet.

for 30 minutes, how many laps we can make? at shah alam cart, i always watch others play go kart there but never try it.

well .. just becareful .. I eyewitness a go-kart crash before because one guy was trying to take racing line (clipping the apex) and the other was trying to do F1 manuveur by cutting on the inside LOL

anyway .. u can't play 30 minutes straight .. even the 20 minutes pricing is actually 2 sessions x 10 minutes each .. after that 10 minutes u already sweating like hell and ur hands will be tired n painful co's the kart has no suspension .. whatever irregularities on the road will just be sent to ur body .. n there's also the cornering that throws u around .. and the uncomfortable seats .. LOL

oh .. and don't eat too full before going .. else u will throw up after a game

hmm RM40 for 10min....might go one day with my frens...

GoKart are easy to drive la.....
F1 and GoKart have a very big difference
for GoKart, just floor accelerator, few meters before the corner, JAM the brakes, and floor the accelerator at mid corner all the way out of the corner.
but for F1 u need to Shift up and down while entering and exits the corner, observe the braking point more carefully and controol your trottle.

not easy man...

so any 1 plan to have a fun race like say a LYN Go-Kart Championship? any 1 interest? minimum 10 ppl then they can help to arrange 1 cup oledi....1 ppl if not mistaken i think around rm150 per full race consis of time trial...positioning & race....

shah alam...if not mistaken the price tag...i play suppose 2 times..2nd time pay oledi...not yet officially start..then rain oledi...so they pay us back..the price is around tat lah...soli..me old oledi..memory not so good...
so any 1 interest? at least 10 person oni can arrange a race wf lap time...so u will know who's lap time fastest....

at melaka rm50 for 10minutes if im not mistaken.. also got cheaper n slower one, also expensive and fast one... got three type of go-kart I think...
