http://www.motorme.my/oh-toh-used-compact-car/QUOTE ... due to the unavoidable fact that the twin-clutch Powershift transmission in the Fiesta 1.6 is plagued by problems and is prone to issues such as jerky shifting and being stuck in gear.
There have been quite a number of documented cases, even one in the office itself. A colleague that owned the very same model of the Fiesta 1.6 you have in mine experienced numerous issues with the transmission before it was rectified. from a motor journalist ANY Fiesta owner want to comment?

QUOTE(dares @ Nov 9 2015, 02:27 PM) So has Malaysia. Fiesta bought before Sept 2012 only come with 3 years warranty. SDAC has since extended the clutch warranty to 5 years. well, at least that is comforting good to know

QUOTE(Matrix @ Nov 10 2015, 07:25 AM) Only now you know? Slowpoke by how many years? Guilty as charged. Only knew it was hard to be accustomed to but did not realized it is referred and labelled as problematic

QUOTE(Dwango @ Nov 10 2015, 09:40 AM) Don't need to pretend as if you don't know anything about this. Seeing the many threads that you constantly post here, the latest news and technological breakthroughs to the latest market news and recalls, you surely should have investigated and read about it. I think it is a matter of creating a new thread just for the sake of for some cheap talk or thrills, rather than the false intention whether you think that the opinion from one person about the problematic transmission of the Ford is for real. You can dispute as much as you can or say "guilty as charged", though seeing the pattern of your threads here it is not difficult to imagine that it is not a simple case of "guilty as charged". Chillax. I am posting this thread because I believe it is the first time I read it being described as problematic from a local motor journal. I am truly taken aback by such description. I not that well informed when it comes to Ford really and I will truly be pretentious to say I am. The only thing I am guilty of is my curiosity and a desire to seek the truth. And I am here to listen to arguments from both sides

QUOTE(Dwango @ Nov 10 2015, 12:28 PM) Interesting that you can be taken aback by a local motor journal from some unpopular blog when there are many other "reliable sources" that you so often manage to dig out like a champ. Anyway, no problem. You look like you "might" be really uninformed when it comes to Ford rather than the Frenchies. Are you sure you have not posted a similar thread like this before on Ford's transmission? Nothing in history? I wouldn't say Motorme is unpopular. Many knew them individually -- CBT Online, S4M, Car of the Year, NST-Autoshow, All Bikes Concours and BH Auto. Asking Toh is one of the permanent feature/coumn of the site. And nope I have not posted a similar thread in the past on Ford 's transmission.
