Your answer is purely theoretical. SD801 use custom Krait 400, not standard Cortex A15 one, is it?
My RN2 battery life is horrible, even worst than Meizu M2 Note, Lenovo K3 Note I bought before. So I think no different with G3 with its 2k display.
My answer is not theoretical. I'm owner of both Redmi Note 2 and Asus Padfone S.
Btw, you compared M2 Note and K3 Note which uses a MT6753 to a Redmi Note 2 which uses MT6795 and claim because RN2 has lower battery life than the former two, therefore it is worse than Snapdragon 801.
Do you even realise that M2 Note and K3 Note uses MT6753 and MT6752 SoC respectively?
MT6752 is a 8-core 1.7Ghz A53 CPU+Mali T720 MP2 GPU.
MT6753 is a 8-core 1.3Ghz A53 CPU+Mali T720 MP3 GPU.
MT6795 is a 8-core 2.0-2.2Ghz A53 CPU+PowerVR G6200 GPU.
Both of them are lower clocked and lower performance in terms of CPU and GPU performance, and not to mentioned their RAM speed and all other feature sets.
This is like comparing an i3 CPU to an i5 CPU and claim the i5 is shitty, because it consumes way more power than the i3.
And Krait 400 is a custom modified A15 cores from Qualcomm, it performs much better than generic A15 it does not consume any lesser power.
