I has bought one unit la, around 5 month ago.... Really not dependable.
I have tested with every Android phone and a Windows 10 tablet, all result are pretty not satisfied.
Even the output from my Windows 10 tablet looks grainy.
It lag a lot until the picture freeze, cannot keep up with the phones mirroring output.

The unit also is very buggy, will self restart itself, self disconnect if it's processing load is too heavy.
It's Youtube cast feature also is very slow, has little to no online streaming channel as well.
DLNA also very buggy, the thing I don't really like is the buffering, when your movie file is too big, it buffer more, means the movie just stop for buffering, then will continue play after buffering complete.
I stream movie from my desktop PC, and really don't has the buffering thing on my Bluray Player, or the Samsung Home Theater.

The only thing I don't has chance to test is with Apple iPhone for the Airplay feature.

I have a Samsung Home Theater that also has Miracast function as a comparison, that Samsung beat this in every aspect, but not a fair comparison la.

Chromecast is just a streaming service stick, that support various streaming like Netflix, iFlix, Youtube, Google Play Movie, TED, Red Bull TV.
It needs fast internet to do the streaming.

It is not a Miracast or DLNA device by using just LAN or Local WiFi without internet.
With some apps, it can perform Miracast's and DLNA's like service, by sending the cast content over the internet, then downloaded by the Chromecast stick to your TV.

So, Chromecast stick is actually less feature than the Ezcast stick.
These streaming service now direct integrated into Smart TV, Android TV and Internet TV, with built in Miracast and DLNA capability.

Received another RN2 today from G5 (order placed on 11th 6pm)

Oh for some reason I always though chromecast was able to do a mirror display what ever is on my phone to TV via wifi.
Or PC/Laptop wifi direct (no router involved) to chromecast/TV and display video/audio
Kind of like these Bluetooth speakers that you just sync wireless your phone/laptop and get audio

Hmm...  Maybe the new updates enable Chromecast has the Wi Fi cast feature.

This is the Ezcast stick that I own,  casting quality is not good.
You need to install the Ezcast apps to operate.
I can connect device like Redmi Note 2 to it.
So far,  my Samsung Home Theater works much better than this Ezcast.
