Can't open certain PDF files. Getting a corrupt er

Adobe Reader could not open 'hourly.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
I was able to open them a few months ago, but at some point (not exactly which date), I just started getting this message on only some of the pdf files from different folders on my network drive. These pdf files were originally e-mailed to me way back when, and unfortunately I don't have them retained in email server.
