I strongly suggest staying away from queen Anne's and imperial flagship unless you have spare cash with no where to go lol. Get sea cow before they retire

The sets you want unfortunately are not easily obtainable in local shop. Kwik e mart has though in the Lego certified shops (bangsar village, curve, setia city mall, empire). It's at RM999.90 if I'm not wrong.

Sea cow on the other hand is harder to spot and depends on luck. And like ilfort mentioned, price are starting to go crazy too for this set. But I have to say this ship is nice though the build process is a little boring (all brown parts).

Oh and a little bird told me the shell next to dewan pustaka might have a restock for tanker later at 3pm.

With the exchange rate now its really not worth importing in. Need to take into consideration the custom tax also. But yea I would still say give imperial flagship and queen Anne's a miss.

There's a guy that was selling at RM100 per tanker when he started the thread and later changed the price to "PM me".

Look at ebay/lelong/garage sales and you can see scalpers everywhere. The cheapest I can see people selling the tanker is at RM38 and I see some people even willing to offer higher just to get it. It's willing buyer willing seller I suppose.

Because the price range for a UCS is not something that everyone can just grab off the shelves. Usually they wait for promotions (10% discount is a very good deal). And the ones buying after it discontinues are the ones who most likely will resell after the price increases. Also maybe there are some who just needed to hear the word EOL before using the motto "buy now regret later".

Just wait till the hype is over and see scalper suffer with stock in hand later in the year.

I think what we should do in 1st page is to have a list of scalper name, what they are selling, what price they are selling compared to RRP, and where they are selling it. This way, new people who wants to buy Lego should avoid these scalpers and get it from somewhere else. Let the scalper die with stock in hand till they have no choice but to let go at RRP or even lower than RRP
