QUOTE(kick ass @ Nov 14 2015, 10:18 PM) Mind sharing how to calculate tax for non resident? i started to work in August this year and received SGD3.5K. So 3.5K x 9 (Aug 2015 - April 2016) x 15%. is that correct? how about tax assumption? They will calculate everything to the dot for you, no worries.SG IRAS is very efficient one, in fact too efficient This post has been edited by rawrkun: Nov 15 2015, 05:16 AM |

Dear sifus,
One of my friend's visa is expiring soon and im trying to find ways for her to extend it. She's used to study in SG for 1 year, and work here for about 4 months before she was retrenched recently.. Is it possible for her to go on a short trip to nearbouring countries and come back again to SG to extend her visa, while searching for jobs and what's the best way to do that to avoid any red flag from MoM.. She's from Vietnam btw.. |

Anyone got their PR application approved recently? Mine's been pending for almost 7 months now.. and the last time I checked with ICA, the officer just simply said that she has no idea how long more it will take... Really need to plan for the year..

QUOTE(sheng291 @ Mar 21 2016, 11:34 AM) Hi, mind sharing which industry are you in and a little more on your background? Did they mentioned how long you should wait before reapplying again? Since ICA don't openly disclose their application process, i guess they only way to gain a little more insight would be to discuss with other applicants. Seems like the process is taking much longer lately. |

Guys, for the CPF acknowledgment letter for completion of PR formalities, is it possible to get it on the same day if I were to submit it personally to the CPF building?

My gf has been here since 2014 and went back after her employment was terminated... and recently when she reenter, the office at the immigration only granted her 10 days for her visit pass.. I've went to the ICA to ask around, but the officers there aren't exactly helpful either...
I'm just worried that the same thing will happen again when she comes here next time.. I've just got my PR recently and we are planning to tie the knot next year, but at the same time we also need some time to plan... |

As a new PR, is there any thing that we need to take note of?
Eg. Updating current employer with residential status and give them a copy of the new ic/ entry permit, updating singpass/ active SG account, IRAS, etc? I'm planning to leave SG for some personal reason and will probably only be back after a year. Worried that I might missed out something This post has been edited by rawrkun: Apr 27 2016, 03:04 PM |
