QUOTE(busyman @ Jan 20 2016, 02:19 PM) This you have to find out from your insurance company la. Great Eastern can claim but you have to pay upfront on your own first. I think most insurance company works the same. Worst case scenario if you got into accident, you die die take a cab over to jb hospital then you don't have to pay upfront lo..This post has been edited by puppyee: Jan 20 2016, 05:29 PM |

QUOTE(yuen300 @ Jan 20 2016, 09:25 PM) As person who work in the industry, please read the terms and check with the company. Agents are selling you product and Malaysia agent don't really need them to take much exam to sell products so they can say yes to anything to get you to buy. Working on too many complaints and all customers say agent say can. Company will not honour it if the policy illustration stated black and white there. As a person who pay and don't work in the industry, I trusted my agent, who is my family member. So don't patronize people but instead, kindly let people know that it doesn't work that way. Do read back the policy statement and check whether they did really mention they will cover if your accident is happened in overseas and not as a tourist. If they never mention, the insurance company will not pay out. And from my knowledge, I don't remember any health plan that Malaysia insurance that allow you to claim in Sg hospital or clinics vs Sg one did mention you can claim if you get your treatment in JB. Unless they launch a new product. For health insurance, unless you know you got some problems, and impossible for you to get a normal premium in other insurance company, it is better to just cancel and get a Sg if you are planning to live long in Sg. Since unlike other insurance plan, the premium will be review every few years to reflect with the current economic situation. Anyway, I am planning to cancel mine as I'm already a pr. Malaysia's insurance is just bunches of bullshit with so much hidden tricks and terms & conditions, it's just tiring. |

QUOTE(JohnJon82 @ Jan 20 2016, 11:22 PM) My Great Eastern also covering only for oversea travel in short term, forgot how long the period, around 1 month or so. They consider my time in SG, although working, as oversea travel. But I still buy a SG medical insurance too. Now i feel terrible that my agent is so terrible for not disclosing this since she's a family member. Worst is she asked me to upgrade my plan eventhough she knows i work full time in SG and i dumbly succumbed. As the chinese says, "tak masak, tak makan"...sad.I recently signed up for insurance in SG too. Found that that it covers way more than what my Malaysia's can cover. Also helps that i only pay a small portion for upgrade as the rest is already covered by medishield. Malaysia boleh. This post has been edited by puppyee: Jan 21 2016, 03:26 PM |

I use jobstreet.... plus I am applying for accounts position when I only have audit & tax experience only... Perhaps you might want to consider updating your linkedin as well. A lot of employers/headhunters lurk there.I feel very down as I feel my pay is very low.... I dont know what is the average pay for my field... I feel the increment is very slow... is 100 per year normal? |
