Hi guys, nice thread here.
Would like to ask a bit. Say if the salary offered is the same dollar to dollar, e.g. RM5k get SGD 5k, will I suffer a reduced quality of life in SG?
For both salary range or 5k and 10k.

QUOTE(bearbear @ Jan 22 2016, 09:24 PM) can you live without car? other than accom and transport, other aspect should be better than Msia. Really so expensive to own a car? I mean, assuming with SGD 200k car, if pay is say around SGD 12k, can afford right? Monthly repayment about 3.5k, with condo 3k.

QUOTE(deodorant @ Jan 23 2016, 03:16 PM) 84.4% of the SG population lives in HDB. 9.7% live in Condo. If we extrapolate a bit and make some assumptions, it wouldn't be too inaccurate to say you need to be in the top 10% household income on the entire island to live in a 2,000 sqft condo. If you are confident enough to be able to come here and compete with the millions of locals and foreigners and come up in the top 10% then by all means come and plant your flag Note: SG median household income is less than s$4k a month. You're right, need to be top 10% to own 2000 sqft condo. Median household income stands at close to 10k.
