Can I use public gym in SG (ActiveGYM/Clubfitt)? I read in ActiveSG website, gym membership is applicable to SGporean & PR only.

Guys,

Any prepaid/post-paid plan you guys recommend to setup upon arrival to Sg? With my IPA, it is sufficient to get a postpaid plan or prepaid will do just fine?

I'm seeing that I'll probably need 2-3GB of data per month, minimal local calls and probably higher IDD usage calls back to home here in Malaysia.

Any advise is appreciated, thanks! notworthy.gif

I got Singtel prepaid on my first day here. They only need my passport.

And then I subscribed to the 30 days 3GB Data Plan for only $20.

Why worry? Just pay $2 per entry.
I noticed the gym and pool is quite cheap in singapore.

Thanks for the input man smile.gif

i believe you can... public gym dont require membership to use its facilities

Alright. I spend at least 5 days every week at the gym so with membership it will be cheaper for me.

If it is a 3-days a week affair, it would be cheaper than getting a membership?? Damn, gym is cheap over there.
*
Well that depends on the gym's per entry payment vs monthly membership. Based on my experiences with many gyms, it is never worth it to get membership if only 3 days a week. Minimum 4 days biggrin.gif

Anytime fitness for example... I think monthly 98. Per entry 30? If you go 3 days a week already cover back in 1 week time biggrin.gif

I don't know other gym coz never ask before haha
So far I've tried KKKL (from Larkin), Nice coach (From KL Sentral, with sandwich and android personal entertainment system and blanket etc one more steward onboard one), Eitabina Express (From KL), Causewaylink Express (From Jurong) all quite alright one.

Only one time I straight go Larkin straight get lure to buy one bus. Not very bad but not very well maintained and not very clean. Next time reach Larkin must slow slow walk d don't rush haha

$30 per entry. Dayum thats freaking expensive blink.gif

I think I am going to take Causewaylink Express end of this month since its nearer to my work place. Do you know where is the pick up point for Causewaylink? I know it is at IMM Building but unsure where is the exact location.

What happen if a pass holder got retrenched? Do we have like a period where we still can stay in Singapore while looking for a new job?

No worries on that, my sis came landed a job here, then got a better offer in less than a month and hopped.

New company will apply work pass for you once they are taking you in.

Do they cancel the current work pass first before working on the new application?
