If u work in Joo Koon, better stay along Green line (EW MRT line) eg Boon Lay, Lakeside or Chinese Garden. But from my only experience of traveling to Joo Koon using MRT during morning rush hour, the MRT frequency was every 20 mins vs normal 2-4 mins! I guess it was because MRT has to cater to the crowds heading towards city area during morning peak hours.

If you are a girl, better not choose Pioneer, as there are considerably more Indian nationals and their eyes are always looking at girls, a bit like Malaysia. But I do know many girls who live in Pioneer, so I Guess it's not an issue. Pioneer is just 1 stop away and has a 24 hour foodcourt.

U are right, Lakeside and Chinese Garden rentals are higher, could be because there are more private condos and somewhat closer to city. Boon Lay suffering from Jet Fighter noise? U sure not during afternoon only? This is because SG Jet Fighters will patrol over Jurong Island, especially during noon. Boon Lay is very convenient as there is a shopping centre with 24 hour Fairprice supermarket.

Jurong East is the place where the best shopping Centres in West Singapore are (JEM, Westgate, Big Box and JCube). But the rentals there are quite steep. But I hate that MRT station, always jam packed like sardines.

I've used Nice once but the fare was like almost 100? Got 1 driver 1 "steward" serve you sandwich and two packaged drink. Can ask for headset and blanket from them. Got android infotainment center running android. Got games and movies to watch @.@

Green line I use 2mins/station and it's quite accurate.

CCK is pretty alright, have fly-by occasionally too but not really that frequent. I think MRT pretty pack during the rush hour, then again which station is not.

But Clementi to Jurong east itself around 4-5 mins already

But aren't you should pay notice on noice after 6pm? Or you work shift?
