Wanna ask a bit about the tax rates in SG. I'm in the midst of a work transfer to SG and just received my work permit so now is just determining when to move over.
From what I can gather from the IRAS site, individuals are qualified for resident rates if they've been staying/working in SG for 183 days in a calendar year.
1. Would this mean that I qualify for resident rates if I move to SG before 1 July (counting 1/7 - 31/12 is exactly 183 days)
2. I would be required to travel between Kl-SG for the first 2 months for work, would it be considered as a 'work day' in SG too? Since technically my hiring status is now under the SG branch.
Link to the page I've been refering to: https://www.iras.gov.sg/IRASHome/Individual...-Non-Residents/
PS: Nice to meet all of you! Summary of myself, working in the Advertising industry and got a work transfer to move to the SG branch
