i'm actually on Business Intelligence and Analytic field... Have been on vendor project companies with total 8 years experience. Currently team lead on technical design and implementation. I do pre-sales as well and provide consultation on tools that i specialized in.

I was drawing $5.5k with 3-4 years experience as a BI developer in a foreign bank, never OT everyday yumcha 3 times.

You really should just look for other companies, 6k for BI lead is waaaaay too low.

If you first timer, minimum need 2 weeks, 1 week to settle all the documents and stuff and 1 week to move stuff from malaysia to SG, settle down, buy appliances etc.

if you are already staying in SG, depending on how many stuff you have lor, for me just 1 weekend everything done.
get a mover to help move everything, simple and fast.

i'm here for 8 years liao, dont recall seeing that.. biggrin.gif

anyway, +1 on what you said..
just for reference, individual median income is still less than 4k in SG, based on statistics from MOM.

What he meant was he was getting paid SGD1.07 for every RM1 he previously earned in Malaysia.

I myself 5 years ago was also only earning RM2300 in Malaysia but when i move to SG, i manage to secure a BD role paying SG2700, so that's SG1.17 to RM1.

not all jobs require you to downgrade your pay when moving over to SG, you will need to fight for your pay and not get pushed around by HR

Maybe you haven't notice the lagging when you're still in SGD2k++,
Usually SGD3k and above starts to lag. The higher you get in your salary, the harder you make a jump. When you're at SGD6k, your employer doesn't
necessary to increment 10% each year like before.
Even 50 yo Singaporean PMET losing his job at SGD 3.8k.

Good luck for you

Erm... No idea bro, but dealing with keling is not easy, due to language barrier I think. Other than that, overall is not bad. Better than chinaman company.

Is Mountbatten a good place to stay? Is it true that 2k salary can get EP?
