Hi guys,

Anyone of you bought medi shield frm any provider ?

Reason i am asking coz the plan i purchased frm avixx, recently up to renewal date, the latest premium increased so much , bloody hell

I asked the agent, reason he give tat government recently roll out the "medishield life" plan, hence all providers will upgrade their plans accordingly to provide better coverage. Not oni avixx, but all providers also increased their premium @@

Is it true ? Anyone that your medishield premium increased ? I thought the "medishield life" is free as government advertisement, but now they telling me otherwise.....

Hmm... But for employers to apply EP then need advertise at jobsbank for 2 weeks. I applied government job through jobsbank before. I'm neither pr nor sg citizen.

So u got the govern job ?

How hard it is for a diploma holder vs degree holder (malaysian uni) to find a job in Singapore?

Long story short, I am a year 3 degree student (accounting) in KL. Due to bad results and has failed many accounting papers and I will graduate late (around 2019) so I am thinking whether I should quit and work with my diploma cert in Singapore or pass all my papers (in 2019) so that I can apply job using degree cert. My plan is to work in Singapore either after I graduate degree or even if I quit my degree halfway now. I might or might not do accounting job because I don't like it, but most probably will enter into finance/marketing/HR etc..

I am 23 years old this year and have no working experience

En..... Why wanna quit degree, think u should work harder and get a good result before coming to sg

I thought JobsDB doesn't track our applications like Jobstreet got received..., read X times, unsuccessful....etc? How do you know the status?

For Jobsbank, how do you register in the first place? They need Singpass ID to create a login.

I'd also like to ask the same question, there are some positions in Jobsbank that match my skillset and interest, however, they are not advertised in JobsDB nor Jobstreet.

For JobsDB, you can check back your application history.

Last time i did get singpass using my ep.

However doesnt try register jobsbank, hope other can answer ur question.

Yes, it is true... all the basic medishield plan will be upgraded to medishield life which comes with higher premium...

Both NTUC Income and Prudential will increase their premium in coming year as they promise no increase in the first year launch of medishield life...

yes this is true.. I think last time medishield also not free.. is charged from your cpf.. now this medishield life also charged from your cpf.. which the premium increase by quite a bit...
so the cash premium you are paying should be the same.. except if you jump age band..
*
It is the cash part tat killing me, the additional cash to pay my premium is much higher, i think got increment 30% and above (inclusive the rider) sweat.gif sweat.gif

are you non pr/singaporean? if yes then the increase in premium due to medishield life will reflect in the amount you have to pay with cash..
if you are pr/singaporean.. then its the change in age band.. you reach an age where the premium increase.. common for health plan..
*
No , i am pr, since day 1 when i buy medishield i am pr

the age band how they calculate ? Lets say i am 29 tis year, after bday aldy, so they consider me as 30 y.o per next yar age ?
