Got one in Jusco Taman Equine also, in addition to the theme park inside Jusco. Maluri Jusco... well, put it this way laa, if you don't mind kids, most Juscos in KL should have a Smart Wonder World which should have some decent games.

Arcade I've been or know of so far in KL:
- Mid Valley (Holiday Planet, Smart Wonder World)
- Sogo (forgot name, previously Wywy Wonderspace)
- South City Plaza (small unnamed one near Giant)
- The Mines (Cobay)
- Jusco Taman Equine (Smart Wonder World, and another one outside Jusco, forgot name)
- Jusco Maluri (Smart Wonder World)
- Jusco Alpha Angle (Smart Wonder World, previously Capcom Station)
- Times Square (got two, dunno name of both, both on same floor)
- Hotel Pearl Jalan Klang Lama (got 2, dunno names of both)
- Central Market Jalan Klang Lama (dunno name)
- Sg Wang Plaza (about half a dozen)
- Cheras Leisure Mall (Dunno name, iirc mostly retro games)
- Cheras Tesco Extra I think have one.
- Carrefour Wangsa Maju (only been once about two years back)
- Endah Parade (Got a few on 6th floor)

Never been into the Low Yat Plaza one, but I'm aware of it's existence tongue.gif

There used to be a very big one in The Mall. Closed down in 2007 sad.gif
There was also one at Ampang Park. Closed down last year.

Wow bro, so damn detail.. Good job

Woke up too early, cannot go back to sleep tongue.gif

I just remembered: the one near the Cinema in Summit is also run by Cobay. Now I remember seeing a Cobay sticker on some of their games, and the staff wear Nintendo logo uniform.

For Pearl International hotel, I now remember one is Holiday Planet. I suspect the other one is Cobay, but not sure. Some of the games from the other arcade is now at The Mines' Cobay.

Also, forgot to note that the Tesco Bukit Tinggi one is very small, and mostly kiddie game.

Indeed, I think most arcades in Klang Valley area, if not Capcom Station, Jungle Jungle or Holiday Planet, is Cobay.

Forgot to list down Giant Putra Heights. They have a Jungle Jungle.

Oh, yeah, one more at Alamanda Putrajaya. Go downstairs at food court escalator. Forgot name.

List keeps growing tongue.gif forgot about Jungle Jungle at Setia Alam Tesco.

sarkssssssss why cant they bring jubeats in sad.gif
*
From what I heard from the arcade boss of the above mentioned arcades, it's something to do with the licensing issues for the songs and thus they cannot even get the machines for Jubeat (and it's sequel) - Konami won't sell to them. He's aware that Jubeat is a popular game but since they couldn't get Jubeat, the Magic Cube thing will just have to do as a substitute.

Bro, I think I saw a Jubeats machine at Holiday Planet IOI Mall Puchong this afternoon. Looks like they have two machines but one is out of commission.

I saw the machine has the Jubeats decals and fliers on it. Also made me take a double take and a more careful look. I'm pretty sure it's Jubeats.

Although, anyone from Puchong willing to just pop in one day and confirm to make sure I'm not going gila?

I would assume not, but then I didn't bother taking notes about everything else aside from the decals. Didn't even play it or look at the screen for too long because someone else was playing.

But China clone is not called Jubeat, right? Usually call Magic Cube?

Ok, I was in IOI Mall again, finally took a risk and grabbed these photos. I set my phone into video record mode (so no flash and noise) and then manually grabbed stills from the resulting video.

Tell me if this is real Jubeat or Magic Cube disguised as Jubeat.

I also play one game. Two times Ken Hirai - Pop Star and then one time High And Mighty Color - Hot Limit

And as expected, no e Amusement connection. Notice behind the machine has LAN cable unplugged and tied up. And no card reader either.

Also, machine show warning say it's only for use within China. And all instruction is in Chinese.

- it's basically Xbox360 inside self-made arcade cabinet. if you've seen before tekken 6 or ssf4 that show "CREDIT:00" when you press start, that's the same thing.

I've seen such machines in KL before. Very widespread for DDR before official DDR machines came in.

This is pretty cool ! o.O Is it the same Jubeats from Singapore ?  thumbup.gif
Im quite disappointed of the Magic Cube because Jubeats have nicer songs and more challenging =)

*
I don't think so. I've never seen SG version, but I assume has eAm support. As said this one is Mainland China version, no online capability.

Btw, does anyone know where does the Pop'n Music in Timesquare vanish to ??  cry.gif  cry.gif

Hmmm, two other Cobay arcades I know about are in Mines and Summit. I didn't see it at both arcades last time I checked tho, but then I didn't really pay attention tongue.gif

Necro + Update: I found the Time Square Pop'n Music machine. It has moved to Genting Highlands First World hotel 3rd floor, near archery center and snow world. Aside from that, looks like quite a few machines from Mines Cobay also moved there.
