Hi. I don't need a high capacity one so 128gb is enough. I am also not sure what type is it? But is it a lot of work to clone the OS from one to the other?

I don't recommend cloning from HDD to SSD. The blocks arrangement of SSD is totally different from HDD. It will still work but it will take some performance penalty.

Yes, SSD can read files faster at the average speed more than 300mb/s while most of the HDD can only read files at the average speed around 100mb/s
Yes, enclosure is not expensive. Last time I bought ClipTec 2.5” USB 2.0 SATA Harddisk SSD HDD Enclosure for the price less than RM30. Quite reliable. biggrin.gif

The biggest difference is actually not sequential read/write. It's random read/write performance that matters the most for normal usage. The difference is 50-100x compared to HDD.

Are external ssd hdd worth getting?

Depending on your usage. If you just need to copy movies which are sequential in nature, it's not worth it. A normal HDD is fast enough.
