QUOTE(IvyLim39 @ Nov 5 2015, 09:35 PM) good evening everyone Owning a camera doesn't make you a pro photographer mind you. When you charge any fees people expect good results from you. although i own a mirrorless camera, i'm still new in photography career. may i know how to find a job? Practice until you are good enough, starting out as a newbie won't help you to build any reputation in the long run. |

Take pictures of your breakfast / lunch / dinner - see how it turns out. Output no good, forget about offering your service.
You can try uploading your photos to stock photo and see if it passes their grade. Here's mine http://www.dreamstime.com/goldfries_portfolio_pg1 The following images were taken with my handphone........ - http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photo-seaf...s-image53232081 - http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photo-gril...e-image53232773 - http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photo-asia...s-image60233691 - http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photo-asia...e-image60634087 Your camera is more than capable. Now is whether you can, so before you start making money - consider what level is your photography. |

OK so start by approaching people to offer your service.

QUOTE(IvyLim39 @ Nov 14 2015, 06:25 AM) Ok, so let's say you approach people to offer your services as Goldfries mentioned. Then, if they're willing to part with their money for what you offer, I'm pretty sure they would want to see what you can actually deliver before handing the money over to you. Now what? Sure as hell you're not gonna pull some pics off Google Images and pass it off as your own right? Think about it, wouldn't you do the same thing? There's no free breakfast, lunch or dinner... and don't even think about supper. You want to make money out of this? Rub on some elbow grease. Have lots of patience and have more networking skills. Luck plays a small role too. Volunteer service would definitely shows your effort. Eg. you may actually help friends in wedding, or graduation photos |

Do your first job for free. Used it as you portfolio and charge low price on the second then raise it when you get more call.
