Wonder why there is no more one plus two thread discussion.

Recently just bought One Plus Two. My OPT will gets very hot when i playing Clash of clan just for 5 minutes. normal usage of phone without playing games, the temperature is very normal. but once i open up COC for around 5 minutes it will get very hot.

For your info, i had rooted my phone and throttle the cpu processor speed to 1.2. (saw some comment in the web saying this will solve the over heating issue).

No play games, the phone is very great but once play games for only 5 min the phone gets hot at the back around the camera area. tested cpu temperature, temperature easily more than 50c after 5 mins of gaming.

Anyone had solutions for this and let's discuss about this.

did it overheat before you underclock the cpu?

SD810 devices all crap. Wait for SD820. If want to buy, wait for second hand market. Usually dirt cheap.

There's no OnePlus 2 thread anymore because no one is willing to continue to creating a thread for it.

Regarding your issue, I have had this device for a while before it met its demise. It got stolen. My OnePlus 2 has never heated up or "overheat" in your case. Granted I dont know what you did to it. But as I am reading, you rooted it and underclocked it.

When did you start experiencing this issues? What kernel are you using? And which version? be best if you post whatever you're experiencing on the thread of the kernel you are using.

My solution for you, is to go back to stock and see if your "overheating" issues is solved.

The OnePlus One is using the v2.1. Which eliminates the overheating issue completely. The Nexus 6P doesnt overheat, the Sony Xperia Z5 series doesn't overheat either. So either you have a lemon set, or you screwed something up.

are you on wifi or lte/3g connection? if you're on data connection and the signal strength is low, thats a contributing factor as well.

this looks like a good read for you - https://www.orduh.com/oneplus-2-battery-drain-overheating/

i am using the v2.1.1 that updates thru OTA. i am not using any custom kernel as i only rooted the phone. but that's a good idea to try to go back to stock rom from scratch and try it out. hopefully it will help. thanks

5 mins on gaming n overheat is indeed serious problem!

Hi bro. Just want to share my experience using OPT. I bought this hp to play game mostly. Average is 4hours in gaming per day. Im using Oxygen 2.1.1. Not root yet.

What i can say so far is no overheat issue for me. Just normal heat when play the game like any other phone out there. The heat also not makes me feel uncomfortable. Even play games during charging it does not overheat. Just feel bit warm but still normal.

i think different games to responded differently.
for my case need for speed no limits is quite graphically intensive, but doesn't heat up my phone as much as dead effect 2

I am getting OP2 soon. Can we revive a OP2 dedicated thread so that similar users can share knowledge and collect feedback?

I'm using the OPT too. Not overheating issue so far.

When gaming abit warm but not to the uncomfortable level yet.

Flash stock rom and check the temperature again. If can't solve then go to Endah Parade Oneplus service centre ask them check for you. Might cover under warranty

After reading through a few forums, these OPT is either a hit or miss, in terms of quality from different batches. Latest batches seem to have less problems, but still some problems for some people even after few times exchange for new units. I guess OP+ got a bit big headed with this OPT.

HAHA the S6 I presume? or something using the Exynos 7420. That heats up more and faster than the 810. I could cook an egg on my previous S6 edge LOL
