I own a cerato 2.0 for 2 years (1st batch SKD)
so far no major issues, claimed once engine mounting.
I would say it's a more comfort orientated car, no driving feeling.

I've sit in the mazda 3 and the space is really cramp, but driving experience is way better than the cerato 2.0

If you dont mind about the space, by all means go for the m3

btw, k3 2.0 now having discount of 8,888 + 3 years free service.

If only the Mazda 3 comes with a 2.5 engine. Any information if the 2.5-litre engine will make its way into the car in the near future? Pardon the typos, typing from my phone.

FC i would say, better than my waja campro 1.6, not sure compare to other 2.0, but, buying a 120k car and i never bother about fc.

Nvh is superb, tires changed to Michelin

No issues at all except claimed mountings 1 time.

After sales service so far so good. Changed sc because the 1st sc i went very kuat taici.
The current sc i went claimed my mounting without questions asked.

When i buy my k3, the mazda was near to 140k so its too expensive.

But if for now, i will go for the ckd m3 compare to k3..


*my k3 is the 1st batch with the small lcd screen. (No gps)

talk kok.. mazda dealer at glenmarie throw 2k + free leather seat (but different from full spec one) for baseline model..


im holding out for full spec mazda 2 ckd next year.. that car rumoured to have turbo!

given choice atm, cerato is 20k cheaper mind you.. both are very good cars and certainly better than honda/toyota boring..

the only let down of m3 is that the rear leg room is really awful

Is it really that awful? My teenage son is 5' 10" and he seems comfortable sitting behind in my Mazda 3. At least he didn't complain anything.

Must ask him about it.

Edit: Just asked him and he said it's like any other car. Seems puzzled by the question.

You are asking the wrong person lol... if I were his age, and my dad asked me that question also I would've answered that

Kids (car-maniac excluded for obvious reason) usually are not sensitive to this kinds of stuffs. And their body is stronger. You put him in car with uncomfortable rear seat for long trip (*cough* Mazda2 *cough*) also they won't notice any difference. I never noticed how bad my dad's Waja's driving ergonomics... until I've driven many types/makes/models of vehicles. Probably due to experience + age.

I'm 6' by the way, and my leg are touching the back of the front seat, and the position of front sear is normal, didn't set too behind or front.

I recently booked Mazda 3 HS. Got rebate around RM750 only. Free gift umbrella, smart tag, full tank, rm500 raytech tinted voucher.

Bermaz is very stingy with discounts, it has always been that way even with the old Mazda2/Mazda3....I think it's almost a matter of policy on Bermaz's part.

So if you think you can grab year end Mazda with big discounts....well too bad.

driven 2 of them before. i can confirm Kia cerato feel like rental car... no feel and no soul. if u like that kind of basic feeling, go for it

if not, m3 is the better choice
