A number of my friends (experienced professionals like you) did get 1:1 offer from Singapore.
You may proceed to try. Wishing you best of luck. :)

Thanks. That's good to hear. I searched up in Jobstreet but not many can offer up to 6k with my skill so i tot getting 1:1 is not reasonable.

this is the lowest salary compared to the past 4 years, my last job paid about 20k if converted to myr(very standard salary in my age group in nz), my goal now is to expand my client base to build it back up to that level and beyond.

I am new zealand permanent resident and worked there for 3 years before moving to KL. One reason I was able to move here was because I managed to secure a long term client over there, and have enough commercial projects under my belt already that getting new clients isn't as hard anymore. Being in this industry, working from overseas is the same process because all communication is done by email anyway, (plus I was already working between cities in NZ). So my salary is in new zealand dollars, which is about 3.05x malaysian ringgit, thats why it seems large for KL standard. Obviously, getting residency in two countries isn't very easy (and esp. in one of the better economies), but that is my major advantage.

this is so awesome bro. you're the same age as me but working in nz & got PR there some more. actually i tried to do the same. i got whv and came to nz on october last year, but got no job offers until visa expired last month although got several interviews including with InterCity. i bet they dont please with my broken engrish. now i'm at malaysia, going to sg soon to save money again and improve my skills and try my luck again after 1 year or so. very appreciate if u can share lobang or tips. cheers

I got pr there around 2002 , back then the government still had positive immigration incentives, now its a bit harder. Now they are looking for people with certain skills
, heres the link http://skillshortages.immigration.govt.nz/
Which you can try apply for.  Other ways is to find a girlfriend there with residency already or company to sponsor you, both not easy.

i know right? i heard it was easier at least 5 years ago, no need job offer to apply for skilled migrant visa. recent years is the toughest with the higher points requirement plus election is coming up this year. lol too bad i ady have girlfriend. btw i work in IT so it is in the skill shortage list. thanks anyway

I have another offer in Malaysia is RM5000. No idea which to choose.

personally i will take SG offer. for exposure, and if u opt to ulang alik between jb-sg u can save around $3k=RM9k. i have similar offer like u, $4k in sg or RM7.5k in kl.

So whats your choice after that? any advice for me?
*
i chose SG. not sure what advise for u. it's depend on ur goal. i'm single, no commitment, have simple lifestyle & want to save up money for travel. i would commute between jb-sg so i can save up more. i also seek international exposure for career advancement, i've never been working outside from MY before.
