That's not too bad really. You have a lot of disposable income left to spend

i have a serious question want to ask,

if company offered you senior executive level but paid you executive level salary,
and if company offered you manager level position but paid you senior executive level salary.

How to make judgement between you position and salary ?

What wrong with the candidate or company?

You have a choice not to take it. Others who think otherwise may want to take up the challenge

Nowadays one has to demonstrate the capability first before asking for more. Think of it positively, a stepping stone to showcase your contributions

Diploma with only 3 years experience getting RM7k in Penang...yeah right...either you're bullshitting or you're not telling the whole truth

To be successful in life, it is not WHAT you know. It is WHO you know.

I have many great examples including myself to support the above claim. Start networking. It bring LONG term benefits

That's besides the point, I have no doubt there are many exceptional case where people are earning way above their peers. Judging from what the fella posted in this thread (https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=4006603&view=findpost&p=80975659) , I'm assuming he's above 30yo, so like what I said, he is not telling the whole truth. Telling others he only has 3 years experience and leading some forum members to believe that he's only 20+ is misleading. My whole point is not that I doubt what he is earning, but to paint an accurate picture for those who are using this thread as a salary reference.

There's a lot of factor that goes into salary award; academic qualification, work experience, regulated profession ....

But the biggest determinant of salary is SUPPLY vs. DEMAND.
