Just a brief update to my pay due to the increment effective Feb 2016. I received an increment of about 15% due to a promotion, if without promotion, normal increment should be around 7-8%. Next career plans: I realized that many companies outside are looking people who are also strong in non Cisco related technology (e.g CP, F5, Bluecoats, yada2) so I'm gonna go pursue those. Dropping my initial intention to attempt for CCIE. I feel that being a (weaker) all rounder is better since there are always SME/specialists you can refer to. Also more options when looking for jobs.
