I know without a doubt this career field is underpaid. I'm always interested to go into finance industry, and I'm pretty good in math and statistics as well. Is there a way for me to chart my career path towards financial industry?

Try 3.8 first, let them nego until 3.5 then take the offer.

Wahh so many rich people here. My current salary is just 2.2 after 1 year into this company. Been looking for other jobs but with useless degree (science) no one gonna hire me. And with my company facing trouble due to cheap steel prices I can say bye2 to bonus and increment. But location is not kl and there's home provided to employee so I don't need to pay toll and rent.

I'm thinking of taking SAP cert. How much and duration of the study? Is there pre-requisite requirements?

Hays: More than 50% of M'sian employees stay put for career progression
QUOTE
The poll, which was conducted between August and October this year, found that 54% of Malaysians believe in job loyalty and are willing to stay for more than five years with an employer, 32% are willing to stay up to five years and the final 14% prefers to job-hop after a year or two.

The findings reported that the number one reason employees look for greener pastures is when their career advancement have plateaued in their organisation.
