Diploma should NOT hold engineer position. Technician/Manager/Specialist/Assistant should be OK.

Job Title : Senior Project Engineer
Job Desciption : managing Project (Acting PM)
Years spent in company : not willing to disclose
Company : EPCI company
Industry : O&G
Tenure : Permanent (expatriation)
Employment Level : Exec
Experience before joining : 7
Highest paper qualification/ education background : bachelor degree
salary : EUR 5200 (minus expat benefits)
Location: Europe

I can say it is a good salary & package i am getting now, but nowadays it is arguably tense just to think about what will happen in the o&g industry. everybody is in hot seat now. can get laid off at any time.

Thinking of doing a business as a part time (to test the market and capability) and will move to full swing if it looks promising.
*
Good package if company covers the tax and provides transport and accommodation.
agree, anything can happen now for all O&G workers.

Hi um sorry for not using the format as my intention is to ask a question.

My question is how much can a diploma level welder make in a month as a freshgrad?
Im currently studying Engineering Technology in Welding and im planning on working for a year after i graduate to get some experience before continuing my degree.

Thanks for the answers in advance. biggrin.gif

EDIT : By any chance any seasoned welding engineers/inspectors stumble upon my reply, recommendations for what welding certificates to go for is highly appreciated.

that should be quite in line (with you being there for 5 months and fresh grad), since now banks are looking to manage its cost. But on a side note, how come did you get employed as a senior exec as a fresh grads? And if we are talking from the senior exec point of view, you are quite underpaid. Nevertheless, I think it's just the title, which in reality you are working there as just an exec.

Or probably they just removed (fired) an exec senior, but hired you (cheaper) to replace it.

I think not it's pretty common practice everywhere, unless you're in the government.

Senior exec is just a title. Fresh grads either come in as exec or a level above exec (SE, AM, etc) depending on their level and the work they are taking on.

Furthermore, different bank have different naming conventions.

11k sounds about alright. how old are you and how many years of experience do you have?

I am 29 this year, had 6 years of working experience. Does 11k sound reasonable? Or should I be asking for 12k?

11k sounds really good. Having said that, if you feel you are worth the 12k, should really give it a shot.

Not exactly sure whether I am underpaid ornot. But job scope is very routine and administrative in natured. Dont see much prospect with my job scope at all, mainly is data entry nature of work. Environment is not exactly ideal and dont think my supervisor likes me too sad.gif

should be applying MIA membership by 2nd Quarter next year.

But didnt dare to resign as i m only 9months old at this job, looks really bad in my resume for resigning so often. T.T
