I still can't see the December rebate up till today. Did you guys got it? Or is it maybe because I have furnished the outstanding balance amount so Maybank didn't credit the cash back to me?

Already given 20days grace period, so better pay before the due date to avoid any mispayment.
*
I agree with this. This is the rule of thumb to maximize any CCs cashback.

It's the MCC, not the items. Since Tesco uses the same MCC across, so you can get cash back.
*
But it I'm not mistaken, purchase of electronic stuffs are redirected to different counter and not the usual ones that are close to the exits. Not sure about those terminals MCC though.

if you swiped yesterday 25/3, you don't have to pay on 26/3 because this transaction will only be posted in your 6/4 statement which due date will be on 26/4.
*
Bro victorywp, is this true? For example, my statement date is 30th every month, then my swipe on 28th or 29th will be carried over to the following month's statement?

Sifus, what happened if I've got CB for a doubled trx and it's now under investigation? The CB will be revoked totally for that month or deducted accordingly on that specific trx?

U can create internet banking even if you only have credit Card with a bank, then u can check the details in internet banking of The respective bank
*
True. That's what I did. Not only for CCs, other financing/loans as well.

Off topic: Just use Smartshopper app to compare the different prices.

+1.

Been using it quite a while now. The advertised price is also accurate. Very useful indeed.

i've been using my card for a few months but monthly cashback is inconsistent

is petrol from BHP station entitled for 5% cashback on Fri/Sat?
*
QUOTE(cipher3344 @ May 18 2016, 08:18 PM)
no problem for me.

every friday and saturday.

BHP dispenser and over counter.
Petron dispenser and over counter.
*
No issues from my end too. Tried almost all brands of fuel station, be it at the dispenser or over the counter. Could it be the terminal using non petrol mcc? Are you pumping at the same station?

Why is cash back always better than points?
*
QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 24 2016, 07:10 PM)
5% cash back max RM 50 per month and the Petronas Visa's points are only relevant if you swipe in Petronas and groceries during weekends.

8x TreatsPoints on weekend and 5x TreatsPoints on weekdays whenever you spend at PETRONAS Service Stations. 8x TreatsPoints for purchase at groceries every weekend

Points will inflate after some time.

Also I meant for these two cards' comparison, not applicable to all cases which cash back is better. Nobody applies Petronas Visa here...

QUOTE(mamamia @ Jul 24 2016, 07:21 PM)
Based on current TPs redemption, 400 TP = RM1. 8x points for every RM1 spend is equivalent to 2%.. 2% vs 5% cashback, which one better?
*
Save the trouble tracking back your spending and redeeming. Cash is king. This is my personal opinion.

Apparently Penang outlets stopped accepting few days earlier than Klang Valley ones.

Indeed. But not as early as the 1st since I made my trx later than that, and in Penang of course. smile.gif
