One of the biggest benefit for us as consumer using credit card as compared to cash is protection. If you get robbed and you're holding a credit card with RM1.5 million credit limit, you probably won't even lose anything if you can straight call the bank and report. They can instantly shut down the card. Even if the robber immediately spend, you're only liable for small amount (RM200). Bank is liable, but perhaps bank won't pay the merchant unless merchant can produce signed slip with same signature as the bank has in records (most merchants I've seen don't check).
