i wanna ask something about how to buy a steam games using Malaysian Debit Visa Card? I cant procced to buying a GTA V using maybank visa. Any idea?

Any Debit Card in malaysia can purchase Steam Wallet/game??
Currently , CIMB and Maybank block the transaction from steam , The offical say:

'Basically if the sites are non 3D secured sites, the bank will decline the transaction. It means that these merchants do not have the One Time Password authentication /MSOS (Maybankard Secure Online Shopping). The decision was made based on the security reason and to protect our customers' account from any fraudulent attempt. We place security as our utmost priority. '

yes, maybank debit/credit card cannot make any transaction on steam and also blizzard entertainment

but UOB works just fine

try using the cimb kwik card. used it last month. still can

Atm cards that work fine
Public bank, Std Chartered , Citibank & HSBC

Hsbc you need to activate for normal/advance account for international debits. Premier no issue

I use Bank Islam debit card. No problem so far

CIMB normal debit card is working for me,not necessarily KWIK.

CIMB is not working for me.

From my experience, CIMB debit can work when purchasing on Steam. That is before I transfer to RHB for my Google Play purchase.

Some banks may need you to contact the bank customer support to activate online/overseas transaction (remember to tell them to activate it permanently so you don't need to kept calling them again)

So far no problem with my RHB and Bank Islam debit card, if you're not buying it midnight (Banking services maintanence) or middle of the week (Steam maintanence)

100% working for my Bank Islam Debit card. Pheww. But why certain ppl have no prob with CIMB? And how to contact the bank customer support? With online method?

I tried CIMB Debit MasterCard few days ago to purchase Steam games, no problem for me.

Perhaps you need to contact bank, I had issue last time at which Steam kept on rejecting my card, contacted bank and they reset something for me and it worked fine afterwards.

I've previously called Maybank, they won't allow Maybank Visa Debit to be used on Steam. You ~can~ use Maybank2U but you have to buy Steam Wallet credits using eClubStore.

Or otherwise indeed contact your (non-Maybank) bank and ask them directly about using it for Steam, the Malaysian banks are aware of it IMO.
