is there logic in using endowment/investment insurance for tax relief (budget 2010 allow for 1k for this and excess can be placed in the 3k for edu/medi insurance and 6k for life/epf)?

only plan with a retire wording on it is allowed for such 1k tax relief..excess can go for life/epf..

QUOTE(Pseudonym @ Nov 30 2010, 02:50 PM)
Any idea why can't we make complaints bout irresponsible insurance agent? When they sell you the policy, they will be seen everywhere and anywhere. But when you terminate it, they are no where to be seen, not to mention not helping you to get those money you're supposed to get back!

I'm very pissed off, although this incident does not happen to me, but it happened to my fiance. He cancelled the investment scheme policy from XXX, the agent say they will proceed with reimbursement of the remaining money he's eligible to get back. After EIGHT MONTHS.. he still havent receive the cheque. Today, he called XXX main office, the person there told him that the cheque has been sent out to the Muar branch few months back, and is consider expired now (6 months duration of cheque). So, in order to claim back, he will have to write a letter to XXX main branch to ask them to reissue. GOSH.. WHERE IS THE ****ING AGENT?  vmad.gif

Sorry for what had happened.
Why don't you go and surrender the policy your own?
