sigh....actually we started very well imho, Hazard looks lively, Willian doing well, Matic winning tackles. But 2nd half, it still looks as if we are doing ok, but then our attack..... somehow it feels like Stoke is the Chelsea last season. U can see how organize they are at the back. 2 rows of 4. 4 midfield, 4 defenders, damn compact in the middle. But still we try to penetrate thru the middle. We needed a true winger in this game to stretch Stoke's compact backline. At times and games like this, it makes us wonder if Cuadrado, Salah can do better in the wings for us.
it's not like we did not create chances, but Butland has been in god mode. That save on Ram's half volley. dangggggg.
We nid to find a way to break down defense that park bus. It feels like Chelsea vs last season's Chelsea (in this case, Stoke).

I think the team is starting to play well, Matic is winning tackles high up the pitch, he show glimpse of his form last season. So did Hazard. Pedro for me, is like sometimes he damn on, sometimes he is off.

Glad someone pointed this out. Baba isn't ready yet, no way Mourinho would throw him in straight especially with the form Chelsea were in. He isn't a miracle cure like some would like to believe. It isn't as simple as drop Iva, play Azpi and Baba and suddenly the defense gets right. If Mourinho had played Baba earlier like some of the fans had demanded, we would see Ivanovic alienated, at the cost of similar results and he's get the blame for playing an untested player in a time of crisis. The accusations that he's out of ideas would have heaped on much earlier. Baba himself might even crack under pressure of being a "flop", Mourinho protects his players. Better stick with the tested veterans and try to fix what's gone wrong first. Some improvements in Chelsea already, I'm betting corner is turned next match.
At this stage, improvement is not the only thing we need. We need them points and wins too. Nid to find a way to counter team that park the bus. aka team that form 2 solid line in the middle. 4 in defense line, 4 in midfield line. It's really hard to break them down.

Duno much bout him, but based on Whoscored, he seems to be a CM/DM that likes to intercept balls, shoot from distance, does not dive into tackles, and have no weakness. Hope if we sign him, Mou will put him into action.
Seems like we are also going to trigger the £14M release clause for Sneijder. And also hijack Utd's bid for Mario Gomez.
