guys. i wanna ask,
i want to improve my Air intake, making it some sort of cool air intake... which do you guys think is best? currently using Works Drop-in air filter.

1) Remove Airbox or some call it Air resonator box, replace it with flexi air intake pipes,  drill a hole at the side of the bumper and place it or just place at front grill.

2) Reuse the airbox, but connect the end to a flexi air intake and place at the front grill/side of bumper

3) Shield up the area where the airbox taking the air from and make a small opening for cool air to enter the shielded area

and also.. if i were to do No.1 and No.2, what are the chances are that the engine will just suck in water from rain or puddles?

is it loud inside the car when driving?

That would suck in hot air from engine bay.

all specs shared the same engine... chassis... ac system... etc...  so we all should be facing same experience... lol.. just some of us noticed .. and some don't.

if put grouding and VS, how much would it help?
as i know newer cars have very good grounding and Voltage stability already

I see a lot of ppl use  165/175/185 tyres when upgrade to 15". Normally is not performance n cheap lousy  tyres

Performance tyres  like ps3 n re003 starts from 195 series onwards

195 is the most stable if u r looking for performance  n handling

sometimes it does depend on the brand as well..

as i mentioned earlier, i had 3 3 year old good year.. and replaced a torn one with silverstone... after another 3 year, the silverstone tyre actually worn out more than the other 3 6 years old good year...

besides, silverstone rating is quite poor if you find reviews about them..

Yes i totally agree. Especially for a car share by people.

for my experience so far (excluding performance tyres) silverstone has the worst rubber/mixture compound.... (can't remember the name of the tyres though. that point of time i didn't note down)

i have used them on:
1974 Datsun 120Y (2 tyres) around 2002~2004
1998 Proton iswara (1 tyres) around 2001 ~ 2003
1996 Proton Wira around (4 tyres) 2004~2006
2015 Perodua Axia (4 tyres) 2014 ~ now

moderate and careful use, didn't use for rough rides (except Datsun) ... worn out in around 30~40k km..

ps: just sharing experience here...

Should be Silverstone.Their favor wore out spot is the side thread wall. That might explain why Axia require to pump more air so that the side wall thread last longer.

hmmm... i don't think so, the pump 250kpa is applied to hankook too...

side worn is usually the alignment issue.

well.. maybe the silverstone i used to purchased were low grade stock, it was very long ago that i did not actually really note down much details about them... all i know is that i had quite a few bad experience with silverstone...

and also .. i always think of silverstone is a  'copy' of bridgestone...

so much of silverstone tyre bashing from me...

i haven't really follow up about silverstone brand for a long time due to bad experience...

the silverstone tyres i used were before 2010s .. and some who claimed to use silverstone with different experience than mine might be using those tyres which were manufactured after the acquisition... which means a 'toyo quality silverstone' tyres...

well.. i guess the quality shd have been improve after acquisition.

So far from Sep 2015. I am the only driver who driving my Axia besides of the SC technician or car wash people. Hohoho.
