Bought a refurbished iPhone 5S 64GB Space Grey few days back, feels nice now to be back holding to a solid geometry phone. I really like the one hand operation

hi,

Ok, lets be truth, I dun think spending on any phone above 2K for me
You know the story, family to feed, bills to pay.

If I was a bachelor I wont even be asking this question, I straight away take the iphone6S plus.

So I'm looking for a phone about RM1.5K

And seems like there are many iPhone 5S on sale.

Is it still a good buy now?

My current iPhone4 is no more supported by apple and even the simplest apps need minimum ios8

Thanks in advance

tell tbh you're still buying an older iphone, around 2 years older, and soon its going to be obsolete as well.

suggest you straight go to 6s or at least 6.

I noticed most refurbish sets are imported. Some ip5s models differ for different regions. I notice US sets has different LTE band. Would that affect our network connections? Anyone got experience no LTE connections?

He has the right idea. Buy at half price while it's not obsolete yet. By the time it is, ip6 would be as cheap.

How does refurbished?

Some like Home button, no vibrate, no voice, speaker, screen crack or battery.

But usually battery they won't replaced, unless is can't last for after 20% and turn off itself.

The other thing such as warranty, good in used phone may not has an issue at all, so the seller would be given 3 mths at least or 14days only.

Buy from user may need check on the spot as well.
Buy from refurbished didn't too worry cause still can argue for repair.

But so far I had deal with iPhone 5 used set, after 3 yrs now still working as well, just need to replace battery only.

The rest all like new, cause seldom using home button so far so good.

Coming from Ip4 then it makes sense for a 5S if one can get an original local NIB set. I bought one for my son at the DIgi centre. Pay a little bit more but having the comfort of taking home a new unused local set. According to the seller, the unit is like 1.5years old, but she did test the battery of the handphone before sale. It works like a dream and my son was happy. So all is good.

Personally, i still prefer the ip4 form factor than the 6/6plus. I am using the 6plus currently. Reason being, already have an iPad, and macbook pro for work, so basically the hp is purely for texting, wasp, and calls.

I'm not an iPhone fans due to the ecosystem thing but I do purchase iPhone for my wife. Personally I would not buy a 2nd hand iPhone. Nothing bad, just that I think its just better buying new. An used items is still used regardless how well its kept and the savings is not really that great.
