Hi, I am using Samsung LED TV. Lately, seldom use my TV. For a while, I decided to turn the TV on and notice quite serious clouding (think this is the right term). I have attached picture. Is there anyway to DIY fixing this? I have read some forums and realized that there are a few recommendation:
1. Wipe screen with soft cloth
2. Adjust screw (loosen) to reduce pressure on screen

Any comments are appreciated.

There could be a few reasons. Easiest would be faulty chip or capacitors and such. Which is repairable. But its if its failing backlight, thats another problem that requires changing the TVm as the cost of changing the panel is expensive.

My other bet is bad backlight reflector. You could lie the LCD TV on its back for a few days and see if it fixes it. That is to bend the backlight reflective film flat.

Is it under warranty? If it is, send it back to claim. If they can repair, its up to you to judge if the cost to repair is worth it or buy a new one. sweat.gif
