From Steven's Corner to lovers' corner. Bukit Permai, popularly known as Mini Genting (Siew Wan Tang), is a hilltop lookout point in Cheras. While not as high as the other lookout area in Ampang, this place is ever popular, bustling with people and hawkers daily. It started life as a quiet, private 'make-out' place but soon transformed into a popular attraction leaving little privacy for amourous couples. . The place takes on a siesta-like atmosphere during New Year's Eve and Merdeka Eve's when hundreds of merry-makers congregate to watch the fireworks around town. So be forewarned: go early, to avoid a crawl up the hill. Or if you prefer, visit it on a peaceful night to take in the panoramic city view.
