I am on Unifi Advance 30.

On Speedtest, usually I can get between 25 and 30 mbps if I let Speedtest choose the best server itself, which always chooses a server in PJ, KL.. (in Malaysia).

But, if I choose a server in China, the download speed drops drastically to about 5-10 mpbs. Is this normal?

I like to stream movies on my TV Box (using MXQ TV Box), but a lot of times the movies will keep buffering, and at times can't even play. I use apps like VST and Dian Shi Mao. Since these are Chinese movies, I believe they are being streamed from China?

See my Speedtest below on a typical server in China:

My TV Box is connected through the powerline using wall plugs.

Any advise how to improve my streaming? Thank you.

I watch a lot of China TV reality shows as well but I stream from their YouTube official channels. smile.gif

Sorry but I don't stream stuff straight from China. Occasionally I do stream from their official websites but so far OK.

I'm also on 30Mbps.

I also watch from Youtube, and when I do so, it is all very smooth.

Apart from VST and dian shi mao, I also use Kodi, which also suffers a lot of buffering. Anyone has any advise on this? smile.gif

Anyone use TV box to watch movies online, such as through apps like VST, Youku, PPTV..? Is it extremely slow?

I am on Unifi 30, yet streaming movies this way is extremely slow. It is much better though, if I watch videos on Youtube.

My TV Box is connected through powerline to my TP-Link router.

Speedtest usually gives 25-28 Mbps download.

Those STB load content from China server usually.

I believe TM is having some routing issue to China server currently.

Make sure your powerline connection is good.

Oh yes, my powerline connection is good, because my Speedtest ran on the TV Box also fetched close to 30Mbps.

Question: Do you know if there is any movies app which can download or cache the movies? This is because, since it is slow and always buffering when streaming, if there is a download or cache feature, then I can download and watch later.

Read some previous discussions on IPv6. Could someone please advise how I should enable IPv6? Do I enable it on my computer, or I should enable it on my router?

I am on Uinifi 30 and is using TP-link router.

Thanks.

I am not satisfy with the upgrade from VIP5 to Advance 30. I have to pay more now monthly, but the speed is not necessarily faster.

Streaming movies is still slow and a lot of buffering.

Do you download movies? If yes, can recommend where do you download or stream from? :)

I am on Advance 30. I am trying to download some MP3 from YouTube (using online converter to get MP3 files from YouTube). The download speed is simply pathetic...

See attached screenshot..

From Youtube should be quite fast. Also on Adv30. Using Jdownloader.

I guess I am not downloading directly from YouTube. I am using youtube-mp3.org to convert the videos on YouTube and download..

I have not used Jdownloader.. can Jdownloader do the same thing? I only want to download the MP3 to be played on my car stereo.
