QUOTE(jamkuwong @ Nov 12 2015, 06:56 PM) Hi, wanna ask a noob question. Just subscribe VIP30 2 weeks back but the download speed is always < 20 mb. I already restarted my modem few times but result still same. I do not have laptop or pc to test but i test using my LAN connected android tv box (speedtest apps). In this case, i need call 100 to ask them check? I have having the same problem too with wifi connection. LAN cable get a solid 30mbps and 5 mbps upload. I am thinking should i change my router. Budget around rm400. Couldn't afford asus ac8u ><

QUOTE(heizad @ Nov 12 2015, 08:36 PM) you can look for asus RT N12HP as well..i've used tp-link for 3 years plus before changed to asus last year okay will look into it QUOTE(MEngineer @ Nov 12 2015, 08:59 PM) I am using it. Easy to flash to OpenWRT which makes it even more awesome Oh what's the difference? Is an opensource custom firmware right? Any seller provide free flashing haha.

I dont know about high rise building but i used to get around 20 to 23 mbps when using my stock router. They insist not to change new one even though i upgraded from VIP5 to VIP10. The router has been with me for at least 3 to 5 years.
Oh btw i got 30mbps when connecting wired.
Anyway i change a new ASUS router and I am getting constant 30mbps via wifi.
