How does it works? I bought couple of duty fee exempt items off Amazon on Nov total of RM2000+ was expecting to pay RM200+ gst but to my surprised I don't need to when my stuff got delivered. Is this a random thingy?
*
normally when they check the box, if not on flagged item they will released straight away...

sometimes just let go all consumer goods... but if bad luck, then mesti kena...

if i there also malas mau caj lebih2 melainkan memang real expensive things la...

How much bandwidth does HyppTV use? Especially for HD channels. I checked Channel 622 Luxe TV HD and I got around max 8.9mbps. Do other HD channels go higher than this?

something wrong with tm i think... but speedtest.net ok, got full speed...

yeah hopefully..
currently with 50mbps I think it's oredi fast enough, able to stream 4K and downloading 50gb 4K movie just over 2 hours..

but then I guess, it's really tempting to see even faster downloading speed, 12mBps  brows.gif
that will give you downloading time for average size movie of 2gb in less than 3 minutes rclxms.gif
*
later we envy of the speed 1gbps....hehehehe imagine 125mbps(ideal) of download speed....huhuh 1gb of data around 10 seconds....

off course will be light year to come in malaysia... inb4 - malaysian like to choose slow internet...

I'm very sorry, I think my original post and reply were both misunderstood and I was not clear enough. I have no experience in DIY and I -don't- want to DIY and move the cable myself (don't want to risk breaking the fiber cable at all), so my original question was: can TM contractors help me move the cable if I call TM directly? Or do they only do installations?

If they can't help me move the cable, will I have to call a third-party contractor?

I'm not looking to try to move it myself at all. It's out of the question.
*
if you want to pay to tm, give them a call... normally they will charge minimum is rm150...

depend on your fiber wall socket, if you want to move that, need to call tm or contractor... if the fws at same location, only move ONU/BTU, it just easy to pull the fiber cable(i think the cable is around 3 or 5m) or you can buy single core fiber cable like 10 meter and lay down until your preferred place and make sure not reachable by anyone(like hiding it the cable)...

you must choose wisely else need to fork some money for minor job...

p/s: before this my fiber line broken at the fws... fix it by myself with normal tool like sharp knife(do splicing) and trial and error in order to save the money...hahaha

I am willing to pay the money to avoid risk of messing up even if it is a minor job. Not a DIY person at all and not willing to go trial and error route for learning experience, thanks.

The problem was that I didn't know if TM provide these kinds of services after the original installation.
Noted. Most likely will be avoiding third party contractors though.
*
if like that, it ok to call tm to do the services...TM provide all kind of related services to their product... just need to arrange with them.... but if you can get their installer much better....straight deal with them....

Effects of oven on Speedtest. I stood next to the oven and start Speedtest while the oven was running. You can see where the download speed increases when the magnetron* pauses and then where the upload speed decreases when the oven starts again.

Now to eat all the food that I've just heated up.

Tomorrow's project is:

1. to try and jam Maxis LTE Band 1 with my router. The Mikrotik radio can transmit from 2312 to 2712 Mhz though it's highly illegal to do so on freqs outside of the Wifi band. Maxis LTE Band 1 is 2500Mhz.

2. heat food up with router

*The magnetron is the mojäng that generates EM energy in the oven.
*
lte band 1 is not 2.6ghz... band 1 is 2.1ghz region....

malaysia only use band 3(newly regulation based on 1.8ghz license in order to increase capacity and coverage if not mistaken) and band 7 which is 2.6ghz region...

I stand corrected. Thanks. It's Band 7.
*
to disturb based on technical, go to 2.62-2.69... this bandwidth is for downlink... sure maxis... but need to ensure which band is connected.... afraid connected to 1.8ghz so no effect at all...

Probably so? I'm not too sure but I didn't tamper with their setup since the technician installed it.

Cable seems intact, the pole is still there too lol.
*
sure on the pole your cable break or somewhere kena gigit tikus.... experienced before where cable break at the pole...

call them to fix... fix for temporary, can get internet and maybe the do the fiber check, my quality maybe dropthen later they change new one of the cable....

Sometimes I use my megaphone. Or handphone. or neighbours phone.

A little tip. If you have an unlimited call plan on your mobile, you may still be charged if you call 100 or a 1300 number. In cases like this you can reach TM at this number 03-22411290.
*
100 services is free call if not not mistaken...... not free is 1300, during that time, curse tm gao2 due to unifi need to call 1300 but streamyx just call 100... lucky now there unified their number to 100...
