RM 169 is just Internet. Mine too RM 169 but with RM 20 discount. So it is RM 149 and add HyppTV - Aneka: RM 30. Then total is RM 179.

You cannot take a standalone Internet package, must take with HyppTV.

Most of us don't watch it and people like me who don't install the HyppTV or even the cordless phone.

Then, take it la. What else you want?
Well, we are also loyal customer.
I checked before what will happen if we opt out from HyppTV after a year, my plan will be gone as well.

The only thing I lack of is time. I can do so many things with Internet but every night after work I really don't have much left.

Talking about Astro OTG, I will have to remind myself for my sister's account no. She just recently terminated my dad's old account and registered a new account which is cheaper and comes with HD.

Else, you can always buy the RM 20 package for free calls.

They sent an EDM back in July and I registered my interest, then they called to offer me for the upgrade. Anyway, during the conversation, it was clearly mentioned to me that my free calls will be disabled. Since I never use my phone, I agreed.

Down the road in Oct, they launched this package at a cheaper price of RM 179 vs what I paid that time was RM 199. We, the early adopters got angry and complained to MCMC. TM called and told me they will honour me RM 179 but with the condition I will lose my free calls. That time, I was puzzled and I was thinking isn't it already removed since I upgraded in July?

Anyway, I didn't know I have free calls until recently, in December precisely. Found out that I actually have free calls but not sure since when as I have never checked this part before.

You can always walk to TM Point to upgrade, that's the fastest way.

I didn't even install my cordless phone. I brought back to my sister's house so that she will have two sets of phone for upstairs and downstairs. So, not a single cent was charged to my bill before since I installed UniFi.

That means already upgraded and most likely it's your router issue.
You can also check the package from OCC Unifi.

Of course you can complain, promised speed is 80% of advertised speed.

Well, it is affordable but the coverage is limited.
The reason why TM is still so arrogant and charging crazy price for its UniFi is due to their coverage... Sigh. It goes back to this word - monopoly.
