QUOTE(eternity4av @ Nov 2 2015, 10:33 AM) yes, stock, but i've tried a while with n12hp not much different as well. strangely though, through desktop lan, macbook pro (wifi) it can hit 50mbps on speedtest.net, Things went sour when using the speedtest.net app, both iOS & Android cant buff up more than 30mbps. Is there any direct link or torrent link to test, besides ubuntu? because it failed on me, on Chrome Download Manager. Try http://mirror.nus.edu.sg/ubuntu-ISO/15.10/...sktop-amd64.iso

QUOTE(nyunyu @ Nov 2 2015, 12:07 PM) Not really. I for one doesn't have that problem or any problem with my unifi 50. Even both of and android app store working no problem. Currently using unifi 50 with mikrotik router which mikrotik router are you using and can you push 50mbps of bandwidth with that router(are you using it as router + AP or router only)? nyunyuThis post has been edited by wcypierre: Nov 2 2015, 12:35 PM

QUOTE(zher4883 @ Nov 2 2015, 12:03 PM) 1.2k to be exact. It's worth every penny if you have the budget for it AND use for it (streaming between servers in internal network, NAS, etc)corrected

QUOTE(iguana_dude_619 @ Nov 2 2015, 02:22 PM) he/she is future proofing for 1Gbps Internet to come to Malaysia to me I just need 5Ghz frequency. less interference That is when it is out . Future proofing doesn't really work much in the computing world 5ghz is better because devices nowadays have support for 5ghz This post has been edited by wcypierre: Nov 2 2015, 03:48 PM

QUOTE(eternity4av @ Nov 2 2015, 03:56 PM) would like to point out one of keypoints that being mentioned by fellow forumers here earlier on, that wifi interference would affect the speed. If you launch wifi analyzer app, you can see how many wifi connections intersects to each other, and you have no option to change channel as well, even N12HP only allows till channel 11, so the golden question now is which router is the cheapest that provides channel broadcast that more than 11, as well as to broadcast 5GHz? I think this might solve the mystery. I get that. There is channel 12 and 13, but one thing with that is compatibility. Some devices(iPhone in particular) don't recognise channel 12 and 13 because of the regulation, so you end up with some people unable to connect when they come to your house and that may not be a good choice.

QUOTE(eternity4av @ Nov 2 2015, 04:06 PM) yes, we should rectify the real issue, as not everyone able to afford rm1k router, so the best bet is still what would be the lowest / or what are the best resolutions we can make it from stock / n12hp / or any affordable router range. and still, the golden nugget question is how do we minimize wifi interference? anyway, I can say that you don't really need that much of processing power that a 1k router will provide. I've already told you the solution earlier, configure and put ur stock router upstairs as AP(via direct lan/homeplug)/repeater Tell your wife not to use the microwave, your son not to turn on the tv, your neighbors not to turn on their wifi devices and router it will feel like a bit of troll but its the truth.

from my friend who live in kelantan told me. if he lied, i lied too...i only heard about this from kelantan but not from terengganu. because kelantan and terengganu usually pay 68-110 for streamyx. so they want to make sure unifi sales increase they put back vip5 with lower cost. I'm not saying you're lying just that I wanted to know the source because if this is true then probably vip5 will be revamped into same speed but cheaper in price in the future

QUOTE(- JaY - @ Nov 4 2015, 10:29 PM) does usage of android box such as mi box and etc affects ping for gaming? or still utilize other bandwidth like hypptv? tldr: in theory yes, in reality still yes, but not really noticeable. if you want a more noticeable effect you should go for vpn and use lan cable for your computer, the former may help more, the latter not so if you can get full bar This post has been edited by wcypierre: Nov 4 2015, 11:46 PM

QUOTE(- JaY - @ Nov 5 2015, 12:21 AM) if no traffic, 50-70ms for D2, if users using, can go up till 100-200. Bought Mikrotik and copied some Queue commands for QoS, so far ok, but not sure if i decide to plunge for the android box will the Queue still work anot. your d2 server is at? SG? and are you on wifi? anyway, my mistake on some part because gaming is a lot more latency sensitive This post has been edited by wcypierre: Nov 5 2015, 12:35 AM
